Holiday Inn Express & Suites Omaha South - Ralston Arena, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Ralston - 7306 Q St, USA

The good: hotel staff was very friendly, prompt and welcoming. Housekeeping was wonderful as they changed/cleaned our room during our day outing— great surprise! Staff was constantly cleaning and attentive to front desk. The complimentary breakfast was also decent — hot & cold items & changed variety daily. The location was also handy to near by venues. The bad: pool was not usable due to a filtration issue. They offered us to use the hot tub, but we chose not to. The hotel itself needs some cosmetic work. Drapes and upholstery in rooms were dirty and ripped. Showers were not clean and shower curtains had staining. The ugly: the air conditioning in our room did not work great. The room felt extremely musty and humid- we actually had to keep the inner drapes closed during the day in hopes the a/c would work better. Our stay was very short which is why this issue was not brought up. We did also have a XL room, which could of played a part in air flow as well. If you are visiting Ralston, NE id closely look at other comparable options.

I’m not sure where to even start! We were traveling with our baseball team for the week and staying as a group. 14 rooms in total. We checked in eagerly and excited to start our week. My daughter who is ten years old jumped in the shower after a 12 hour road trip, while getting out of the shower she placed her hand in BLOOD! Seeing as we have only been in the room 10 minutes at this point, it was blood from a previous guest. All over the shower curtain.. that’s just the start. The lamps were rusty, the headboard had previous hand smudges on both of them, gum on the side of one, the handle to our room was faulty/broke, the hotel lobby was not under 80 degrees temperature our whole 5 night stay, the pool was cloudy the entire time, the hallways smelled of mold and the elevator was down several times through out our stay. We stay in hotels every weekend over the summer for travel sports, and this by far was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. If we weren't staying as a large group I would have checked out immediately. I contacted the manager for her to handle our misfortunes, and she offered me 10,000 IHG reward points, what a joke! Your apology for my 10 year old being mortified by a strangers blood all over her hand was 10,000 IHG points? No wonder her employees looked miserable every day, that type of leadership I would be miserable too! Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere, you’ll be much happier. Jamese, you can look forward to 13 other reviews just like this one from patrons in our group, I gave you plenty of chances to make thinks right. Other patrons of our group experienced used contacts on their sink, standing water in their showers, and bugs in their beds! Just to name a couple issues!

This hotel service is horrible. I stay 70+ nights at Holiday Inns per year due to work. Canceling or modifying a reservation has never been a problem except for this place. I cancelled a reservation 24+ hours prior to stay and still got charged for a night stay after being told by 2 separate staff members that there will be no charge! I was told that I am not telling the truth when I stated I have never experienced this problem before. I guess being Diamond Elite status doesn't matter at this place. Will be switching and giving Hilton our business soon!

This hotel was an interesting mix of extremes; we had to switch rooms due to a faulty shower (and we heard of two other families that had to switch rooms for one reason or another!) but the service was great in getting to a new room as well as in extending our stay (though it took longer than one would hope and we had to switch rooms a second time because they wanted to deep clean the floor they put us on the first time around lol). Beautiful weather for the 4th of July and the arena next door was where the Ralston fireworks were so that was a fun bonus. Overall would stay again, breakfast was clean, rooms were clean but a bit older, and the staff helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to everything in Omaha, really. Great location!

The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff friendly and courteous. The handwritten note we received from the front office manager brightened our day and sealed the deal on us staying here again in the future. Thank you to everyone at the hotel that works so hard. You are appreciated!

Been coming to Omaha now every couple months for a while. Stayed at numerous local hotels ranging from "luxury" to mid-range and this has become my go-to lodging. Is it perfect? No. But I can tell you its better than the local Marriotts. The breakfast is top notch and rooms are clean. The evening desk lady, Ciara, has also been extremely helpful and courteous when I've needed one thing or another. The location is close to some very good restaurants. I recommend trying out 72 Tap. It's great. Also only takes 20min to get to Offutt AFB. My only complaint is that housekeeping doesn't make beds or tidy up the room, such as empty the trash can. Honestly, I'm not really sure what they do. This complaint is fairly minor tho. I will continue staying here for all my future visits to Omaha

My cousin and I did a trip up to Nebraska the hotel was great staff was friendly breakfast was great also the pool and spa was nice I’d recommend people coming to Omaha to come here if they travel to Nebraska it was my first time and cousin’s first time as well

This is a nice hotel. Pool area is decent but lighting needs updating very dim during hours of darkness. The hot tub need a fresh coat of paint. The drainage in the floor needs checked (not really draining). Showers need to be checked pressure is low possibly hard water deposits in shower head. The breakfast is good . Staff is nice.
