Holiday Inn Express & Suites Omaha - Featured Reviews (307)
We stayed almost 3 weeks when our home was damaged in a storm. I rated the room a 4 because the couch and chair weren’t very comfortable to sit in for any length of time but the bed was great.the pool was nice, breakfast was delicious, and my husband made use of the exercise room often. The staff was amazing and very friendly, especially John who worked evenings at the front desk. He would always welcome us back and ask about our grandkids. Wonderful place to stay.
We stayed for 3 nights and our experience exceeded expectations. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was well managed and had a lot of variety. Everyone we interacted with was kind and considerate. Definitely worth the lower price point! Would stay here again, no doubt.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had an issue with our TV and maintenance fixed it quickly. The hot breakfast had many choices, great for my children who can be picky eaters. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Children's. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Their breakfast was a disappointment. There was no milk, no hard boiled eggs, no fruits, and no yogurt that morning (July 15, 2024). They said they ran out when asked about the milk. This unacceptable. When you promise full breakfast, you should make sure that you got everything; at the minimum, milk should be there. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and burned along the sides of the pan. No guests took it so the burned eggs remained in that pan the entire breakfast period. No staff member even bothered to change it. This hotel is under staffed. The person at the reception desk is the same person in charge of the breakfast prep and clean up. Thus, there's always a line in front of the reception desk or unresolved problems at the breakfast/kitchen. Parking is not free ($15/24 hr period) but they don't have enough space to park. This location is far from downtown (old market). I cannot recommend and shall not return to this hotel. There are better hotels than this in Omaha.
I wasn't a fan of this hotel for only one reason. They have motion sensor thermostats in all of the rooms. I was told that it recognizes when you're in the room even when you're in bed. We'll that's not accurate. About 5 minutes after shutting the lights off the ac kicks off. I got moved to a different room and even an upgrade but it was the same thing. Here's my suggestion. Stop charging so much money if we can't be comfortable in what we pay for. Y'all are trying to save a dollar only to charge us more to spend the night. If you're trying to save money on electricity bills then have your staff turn off the units when the room is finished being clean. I personally will not stay here again because I can't sleep when I'm hot and the thermostat doesn't know I'm still there.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Stayed the night before Memorial Day and the guy who checked us in was really nice and stated that we could get late check out the next morning since I’m an IHG member. He did not bring up the fact that we booked through a third party website. The next day was horrible. The woman was very rude and would not honor what we were originally told. When it comes to customer service, whatever the customer is told, it should always be honored regardless of policy. I have traveled all over the US and in other countries and I have never been told that just because we booked through a third party website that we could not get late check out. Also, the hotel was not booked at maximum capicity so she was just being very rude and inconsiderate. The hotel looked like a ghost town. I will never stay there again. She also stated she was the owner, which I find very hard to believe. She wouldn’t give me her name, she was just very unprofessional. A lot of things weren’t stocked. There were no towels in the fitness room, and the pool. Also, this was in the morning on a holiday, so that is ridiculous. I also witnessed her being rude to a man the same race as me. I called her out and she stated that him and I must be together. What a racist comment. The man and I do not know each other however she treated both of us very poorly and we are the same race. I will be contacting headquarters because this is unacceptable.
I stayed here about 12 days over 3 weeks. The rooms are very clean and do not have any distinct odors. The breakfast choices vary everyday, which is nice for multiple day stays. The staff are very nice and courteous. This hotel is the best value to cleanliness/amenities that I've stayed at in Omaha.
Kind and helpful front desk attendants. Clean rooms and the breakfast was great. I wish the lighting in the rooms were better though- there's a switch for every light and some are dim.
We stayed here for a fun staycation experience and it was amazing! The decor and aesthetic is unmatched. Excellent attention to detail. Our room was spacious and very clean. The employees are kind; the bottled water at check-in is a nice touch. The l
