This hotel is extremely OUTDATED. From the outside to the rooms, it is absolutely disgusting. Barely any cleaning was done, walked into my room and it smelled like pee. Tried to charge an extra fee to clean the room. Not even basic necessities will be met, no extra towels, toilet paper.. nothing at all. Nasty, attitude from the front desk lady, I would avoid this hotel at all cost. Will be requesting a full refund, and will be contacting corporate.

I stayed at this location twice the week of July 19th and the 21th to the 23rd one for power outage and the second time for work. What made the start of my stay outstanding is the first person I spoke with at the front desk. Her name is Sonya. Her customer service is personable and very good. She listened to me vent about my power being out and noticed something I wanted as far as room location. While it was not available the first stay when I returned she did not forget my request and I was able to get my room on a higher floor with the front view I wanted. I thank Sonya for my stay. My rooms both times was clean and met my expectations. Good job Holiday Inn, with having Sonya as part of your team!

Check in experience was very poor, waiting over an hour to be checked in, at the front desk. The following areas were non functional during my stay *Ice machine *Guest laundry services *Bathroom door did not close well and had to be forcefully pulled shut to get it to latch. *The only elevator was in the state of poor repair and did not feel safe at all Bottom line, the property is in need of major maintenance and it does not appear the company is interested in doing it. No offer of discount or accommodation. This level of service is unacceptable at the rate of $250 per night. We will not be back.

The location of this hotel was great! It is the only thing I can share that was positive however. I should have paid attention to other reviews before booking but we were in a time crunch and needed a room. ● First, we arrived around 9:00pm at night and had to stand at the front desk for about 10 minutes while we waited on desk staff to assist us. The bell was rang and after several minutes someone hollered from the back that they'd be a few minutes. I appreciate people are busy but, check-in was lacking. The staff member was also rude and it made us feel like we were a burden. ● Second, our room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, disgusting. The hotel staff moved us rooms and stated that the assistant general manager would be in contact, never heard from her. In the new room, the toilet was running and wouldn't stop. I personally caught a maintenance person in the hallway and they fixed it. Utterly ridiculous, we moved from a moldy room to one with a broken toilet. ● Third, the breakfast has been decent. One day they were entirely out of milk and on three separate occasions I've tracked a staff member down to add food back to the selection so we could actually eat, no proactivity whatsoever. ● Lastly, we had removed our door flag so the room would be cleaned. After being gone all day we were looking forward to coming in to a fresh room. At this point in the story nothing should be a surprise but the room was untouched and the same staff member who was rude earlier in the week proceeded to blame us for not taking down the flag. I let them know the flag was removed before 9:00 am and then was advised that I could bring all the dirty laundry downstairs for them. They would give me fresh linen to take care of myself. - Now I am sure some of this seems nitpicky but we literally spent $210 a night for this disaster of a hotel. Lesson learned, never again. We have stayed at two other Holiday Inn Express hotels within the past month, both were phenomenal. This location needs to take pride in what they do clearly.

I have stayed at this property before, and while my previous trips were decent, as I have indicated in other reviews, this time was different. Specifically, I am writing to share about my experience with check-in and a particular desk person named Hannah. This individual was both rude an unprofessional. Perhaps she was just having a bad day, I don’t know. But after having been called from the back, she almost seemed as if it was a bother to check us in. She then proceeded to ask for a credit card that she could charge although there was a credit card on file for both rooms that had been reserved. When I asked her if the credit card was for incidentals, she informed me that it was not. It was for the charge of the rooms. After a series of back-and-forth with her, and the person who had reserved the room and placed the credit card on file for us (I had them speak by phone.), she went ahead with the reservation. She was extremely short with the individual who made the reservation when I had allowed her to speak directly to that person, she rushed her off the phone and went ahead to finish the reservation without any apology or explanation as to why she had gone directly to asking me for a card to charge, when there was one on file. Any other time I have reserved a room and placed a credit card on file, the first question (after my name) I am asked by the person checking me in is, “Would you like to use the credit card on file?” Long story short, this was just a completely unnecessary and inconvenient experience for us as guests. I hope that she will be better in the future to other people. To their credit, all the other employees with whom I interacted at the hotel were just great! Very friendly and attentive. The breakfast attendant was careful to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction, which I very much appreciated. Listen, I may very well stay at the same hotel again when I’m in the Memphis area. But I do hope Hannah works on her attitude, if she’s going to continue welcoming guests, and working directly with them. I have stayed at Holiday Inn properties in Missouri, Kansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, etc., and I’m sure that the attitude and way she engaged to us that day is not the typical manner in which Holiday Inn wants to be known. “Have better day, Hannah. Please.”

We are here visiting for our family reunion. From the time we walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly from desk person. Every staff member I have came in contact with has not only been very helpful but each one has gone above and beyond to accommodate me. If I am ever in the area again I'll definitely consider this hotel

i will never in my life work here again in millington . i got fired based of failure to perform the duties in a timely manner. when i literally come in almost every day and do my job . and i definitely didn’t know it was a time to be done with common. if that’s a case it should be a 2 person job. i always get treated bad there almost every day. and they wanted me gone i hope they happy . some of the employees are fake and talk about you all the time . and i don’t who didn’t me or not .

About 6 hotels are in the Millington area. The Holiday Inn Express Millington is one of these. As of January, 2024 there are 2,297 Holiday Inn Express locations in the United States. This particular is located about 18 miles north of Memphis, with convenient access to numerous attractions including Graceland, the Memphis Zoo, Beale Street, and the Memphis Motorsports Park. This 4-story hotel is right off the north side of Hwy 51. It has a covered portico at the entrance for a passenger drop-off. There seems to be plenty of parking for the visitors. Check-in was on the left side as you entered. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The room was a standard hotel room with two beds, a TV, drawers, a small refrigerator, a desk, and a closet. There were plenty of places to charge electronics. The windows had regular and black-out blinds. I had a problem with my TV when I checked in. Calling the front desk yielded no success except a suggestion to fix it myself as they could not send someone and they could not change rooms. I fixed it myself. The card for the TV receiver was backward. I was disappointed that I did not get more support for the identified problem. The hotel seems a little dated from the condition of the TV, wallpaper, and condition of the building. Overall, it is a nice hotel and convenient for the area.
