Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mankato East, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (509)
Loved this hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. Loved that the pool had a separate baby pool and the sauna was huge! It’s nice the rooms were so big. And bathroom too. Also very easy to get to. We’re going back to Mankato just to stay here again.
Unbelievably overpriced for 1 night- I assume the rate was high just because the hotel was busy the night we stayed. We needed a hotel as we were passing through the area on our road trip. The front desk person who checked us in was curt and set off a bad vibe with us. Our room smelled like greasy fast food, the WiFi was barely functioning (which was difficult as I had to get work done), the bathroom had dried old toothpaste on the door and water in the communal dove body lotion bottle. We are on a road trip and only stayed the night, thankfully…we stayed at 3 other holiday inns and this one was the least pleasant and most expensive. There are several other hotels in the same area, choose wisely.
DISCLAIMER... I am usually a Hilton and Marriott snob, so I wasn't too thrilled when I realized a Holiday Inn was my company's only option for staying in Mankato. I hadn't stayed in a Holiday Inn since the early 2000's. BUT!! I was wildly impressed by how pristine, accommodating and modern this hotel is. And the staff was AWESOME. Especially my girl Janna. She really made our experience top-tier. The rooms are HUGE and updated, equipped with Dove products (boujee, IMO), white noise from the AC was on point, nice and cool. The free daily breakfast was better than every comparable Hilton and Marriott property (Hampton/Residence Inn). They had a ton of options, healthy ones, too, which I appreciate. Again, super clean and sanitary. Like I mentioned, I'm not usually an IHG-stayer. But after this experience, you might pull me in! Thank you for the great experience.
Beds were probably the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel. Breakfast is really good with lots of quality hot and cold options. Rooms are new and clean, and the pool was fun (although a bit heavy on the chlorine). All in all a great stay. The only downside was the price, which was a bit steep for a 2 star hotel in Mankato at $250.
We had an exceptional stay at the Holiday Inn Mankato East. To start, we really enjoyed the welcome cookies at check in. Next, I was so pleased with the king suite with private bedroom. We traveled with kids so it's so nice to have a separate bedroom for bedtime. The room was also HUGE with super tall ceilings. Very nice! The bed was extremely comfortable, the pool area is fantastic! They have a kiddy pool with a fountain that was heated to a very comfortable temperature and the hot tub is gigantic! And there's a small arcade! Lots of extras and nice features! Breakfast had so many selections! And on top of all of that the service we received after we left was above and beyond! The housekeeping staff found our little girls brand new crocs and kept them safe until Pam was able to connect them back to us. The crocs just arrived home safely; my daughter will be so happy! We will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!
Rooms are very nice and clean but the beds were terrible! They are worn out you could feel springs!! For that money the beds which are the most important piece should be an excellent quality and they fell very short on that! Service was great! Breakfast was typical hotel food, it is what it is.
There were people at the desk that helped my husband and I incredibly‼️ We had to get a late check out, but we really didn’t know what time we’d have to check out because his discharge was late from Mayo Clinic . There was a woman there, and she’ll know who she is who helped me at breakfast, which I had not eaten for like two days and I had not slept in 32 hrs She was amazing and the desk clerks were amazing ! If they could be honored in anyway, they should be ! Thank you for your consideration, Mary F.Karling
Everything was great. Breakfast Service Check in Stay Beds Cleanliness was the only issue. I had to ask someone to come and clean the toilet. Was not easy to see do beans down and check the rim. You just want to know that you are using a clean toilet al over. Does not speak to the whole experience.
