Holiday Inn Express & Suites Los Angeles Airport Hawthorne, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (1399)
The rooms were perfect, very modern and clean. Everything was fresh and comfy. The location isn’t super incredible but it’s nice because it has a gated parking garage to leave your rental in. It was difficult to get some packages we shipped to the front office. Breakfast was classics, omelets, cereals, muffins, and cinnamon rolls. I enjoyed our stay, I think it’s worth the price you pay.
For those who have stayed in the HIE&S hotel chain, and know what to expect, this hotel, in its current state, is below average. [I normally give this hotel chain 4-5 stars.] First the good: very friendly staff, good comfortable and clean rooms, breakfast offerings are, as usual, fresh and tasty. The hotel hallways are in the process of being renovated [re-painted]. The outdoor pool is okay; however, the whirlpool was only luke-warm, not a hot and relaxing temperature.|I hope that the renovations will be complete in the next few months. I would then return here.
Was a little tricky to navigate to initially as a lot of hotels are next to eachother and share a parking lot. Unfortunately I didn't know when I booked this hotel that they are under renovation. WITH THAT SAID, we stayed in a renovated room and I was really surprised at the quality. Honestly one of the best beds I have slept in! Friendly staff. Nice option to stay near the stadiums for events. Never felt unsafe and there is secured parking.
The rooms are nice and clean. Smells excellent as soon as you walk into the lobby. The sheets felt comfy. They surprisingly had nice Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion that all smelt amazing. The price was $140 for two queen beds in one room. Had a really great experience and would visit this hotel again. The only issue was the desk guy that checked us in was not very friendly and lied about adjusting our cost of the stay, if our truck didn’t clear the 7’ parking garage (which it didn’t). So we went in to tell him and he said that it’ll still be $10 to park on their property even though we had to park on the street…. Hopefully they fix that issue when we check out. I will update this. There was one weird bug in tub when we arrived but overall we would try this hotel out again for our next business trip.
Update: A very friendly lady fixed the $10 parking issue in the AM and we left happy.
Surprised at the good reviews. We almost stayed here in January. The rooms were so terrible we called Expedia and they gave us a full refund for our second night. We spoke to management and they gave us a full refund for the first night. We walked out.
This is the first and only time we have ever walked out of a hotel. It is also the first time I have ever been disappointed by a holiday inn!
To be fair I am very grateful that we receive a full refund but I certainly would not recommend staying here.
Customer service was awesome. They’re very nice and responsive! I needed to wash clothes and the laundry was out of service. They repaired it under 24 hrs and I was able to wash my jeans! (Baby puked on them)
Pros: customer service, gated parking a street across for $10 a day. Bathroom super clean it’s a big plus for me. Bed super comfy and clean another plus. Food is good but not resort style. Coffee is delicious!
Didn’t try the pool but looked clean.
Cons; facility needs new sofas and seats. Need to add lamps to the rooms. It looks like they’re slowly renovating so our bathroom was completely new but the carpet looked old and the small sofa in the room was musty. The AC was not the coldest and some baseboards were missing off a wall. If you don’t come to eat breakfast before 7:30 you’ll get swamped with people.
I would give 3 stars because the front desk lady helped me to switch to a better room, otherwise i would have given 1 star. I booked for three days. The Indian front male desk assigned me the room with loud AC and the AC cannot make cool air. Beside, the room is dirty with hair on the pillows and broken wall. They did not want me to change the room initially saying that there is no rooms available. Then I insisted to change the room or switch to another hotel then the they had rooms available. Eventually I got room changed. During the stay, I literally told them not to go to my room because I left all my electronics in the room, but they still went to my room to shut the AC, which is not respectful. The hotel is full of weed smell on the first and second floor, but I understand it is in downtown LA. I would not recommend this hotel for visitors if you come first time to LA. It is not cheap at all. I spent 600 dollars for 3 days. Parking is 10 dollars each day!
From start to finish, this hotel was amazing! The parking garage was helpful, even though there was a parking fee addition. On our check-out day, the gate code changed, so we couldn't get inside im the parking garage. We weren't informed of that upon check-out, but it worked out just fine anyway. The location was great. Gym had great options. Pool was very nice. The room was fabulous and spacious. The hotel was remarkably clean. Breakfast had great options. Employees that we encountered were wonderfully nice.

Stayed here in 2019. Stayed again in 2023 and it's still on point. Tasteful decor, looks and smells clean. Nice spacious suites and common areas. Sofa bed mattress looked rather tattered, but room was perfect otherwise
I stayed here for 2 nights, my room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I did see a small bug on my last day there but with people cooking in the rooms there's bound to be bugs. The room has a small kitchen with a stove top, full fridge and microw
I reserved a 1 bedroom suite. Upon my arrival, I was informed that my room was not available. I was offered a studio suite. I was not pleased but at 8pm on a Friday night I didn't have many options so we took the room. On Saturday afternoon the manag
Went here for donuts one morning with the family and thought it was so good that we went again the next morning during our trip to L.A. the donuts were fresh and tasted great even the day after. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well.
This was an accidental fine. I've always wanted to actually have someone's grandmother make me some Filipino food. Well I actually found a place this lady that runs this place. The food is delicious. It's what I imagined and then some and they do a r

Very good trail to have our girls ride their bike and tricycle! We brought our dog on a leash and flew a kite too. There's the freeway noise but it wasn't too bad. About as much noise as crashing waves at the beach. It actually made it feel like bein
