Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lafayette East, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Lafayette - 200 Progress Dr, USA

This property is out dated and dirty. Those that rate it higher might want to look at the Double Tree next door at the same rate and proper hotel, clean, sanitary and modern. It is unbelievable IHG is ok with the condition of this hotel. I checked in recently and left after looking at the conditions and the smell, checking in to the Double tree next door. I was there for a total of 10 minutes. Even the person at the front desk agreed the property management was less than congenial. I stay at IHG properties around the world, and this was by far one of the worst. I have never checked out of a hotel until this stay.|If you do stay and second guess if you should, I recommend to leave and go to another property. You will be happy with your decision to leave. ||I have made several attempts to work back with the management and as others have commented, they are not interested in the customer, instead the quick dollar is more important.||I am now considering making the move back to Hilton properties. As a diamond member with Hilton, they continue to take care of the customer and the cleanliness, conditions of the property in this case are a huge difference for the same price. ||If you don’t believe this post, check for yourself.

With previous guests smoking pot in the room, the air hit our lungs and nose. The room wasn't aired out properly by management and detectors weren't unwrapped As the previous guest did to suppress the smoke from setting off alarms. management told us there were no rooms to move us too, and the area was booked. We were stuck. When we complained to management, he did not respond until we checked out the last day. The manager himself, was absolutely unempathetic and rude. Not sure how they can act like this in a smoke-free facility. With so many other wonderful hotels I recommend you move on from this one and book another.

I stayed at this hotel while on assignment, but my room had an ant infestation that nobody did anything about. I decided to put peppermint oil on the windowsill, which they were upset about, even though it's a natural way to repel ants. The management was rude, and the hotel staff were unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Do not book at this hotel. We booked a stay and then needed to postpone our stay because of an issue that was outside of our control. We wanted a credit so we could stay 3 weeks later and were refused. The GM, Robert Dudek, called me 3 days after we contacted the hotel and refused to assist. In his words they have an 85% occupancy rate and my business didn't matter enough for him to accommodate our request. There are many other hotels in the area and I highly recommend you book somewhere else. The service here is terrible.

Run down, old odors and just overall not clean. Staff was generally not very welcoming/friendly even to our kids. Stayed here thinking was same location from 15 years ago and quickly realized it wasn’t. The baymount is the old holiday inn express across the highway and had much nicer staff and was leaps and bounds cleaner

I booked a room three months in advance and later needed to cancel over a month from the date of stay, but was told they can’t give me any refund. I gave plenty of notice but they’re just being cheap. I am deeply dissatisfied and outraged that I cannot be refunded anything from what I was already charged. It is greedy to keep my money knowing that, since i’ve given a month’s advance notice on my cancellation, someone else will fill the room anyway and they’ll get double the money and I’ll be stuck paying for a room I never even used. Disgusting.

I stayed here for a single night while passing through town and was also somewhat reluctant based on the reviews. However, at least the night I stayed, the negative reviews aren't warranted.||The hotel is in a nice area with restaurants and gas stations nearby, its right off the highway and easy to find. Check in was quick and friendly.||The room was standard 10 year old Holiday Inn Express. Spacious, clean but showing signs of age. The good thing is everything worked and the hotel was very quiet: best hotel sleep I've had in a long time. Bed was comfortable as well.||I would definitely stay here again if back in the area.
