My room was very spacious. I did have a problem initially with my room keys when I first checked in. They had my keys all ready but had obviously not coded them. So after I got to my room, I had to go back down and get them fixed. However, once I got into the room, it was large, and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this location. The staff was friendly and allowed us to sit in the breakfast area to visit that night as our group was from multiple states and in town for a dinner event. Breakfast the next morning was average, but everything you need to start the day.

We had tons of family in for Thanksgiving and booked 7 rooms - Brenda at the front desk was absolutely wonderful - she grouped all of us together in one hallway and went way above and beyond to make sure our stay was outstanding. She upgraded my room, provided extra glassware, and even was able to hunt down a corkscrew for us (#lifesaver!). She was kind, patient, and extremely service-oriented. I recommend her Brenda highly for a huge raise/bonus and Customer Excellence Award!!. Thanks very much - we all look forward to staying again next year!!!

My family enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was clean and well kept and the pool and spa were very welcoming. There were a few minor things that needed to be addressed, our bathroom exhaust fan did not seem to work. Both the ice machine and washer on our floor were out of order. I did not check other floors for a washer, but ice did work there. We would have appreciated an extra roll of toilet paper for our bathroom. But even with these small issues, it was a nice visit. The hotel was quiet the night we were there and we were glad we chose this location.

My visit was in September 2023. We attended a wedding at a local venue about 10mins res away. The day I checked in I was pleasantly surprised of the location and the area. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. The breakfast was a typical breakfast and was tummy filling until lunchtime. Don’t expect a four star meal. The food was well kept the variety was typical no complaints from me there. The hotel lobby was nice clean and the staff was amazing! One downside to me was the hotel store. Not much of anything to eat or snack on. I feel it needs more variety and to be replenished more often. My room I shared with my bestie and we were very very comfortable. Had lots of space and the fridge, microwave and coffee maker were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was awesome!!! I felt like a queen with so much room and it was clean. The ice machine on the floor was broken or something and I had to go to the other floors to get ice. That I did not like but what can you do about that. The hotel had a convenient laundry room that my room shared a wall with and I thought I might hear all the beeps and noise but I didn’t do that made me happy. The indoor pool was good but small. Well maintained and never was out of service. Which was great with the children that were part of the wedding and family from out of town. The furniture was well maintained in the room Ms in the hotel common areas. All in all if you ask me if I would stay here again and if I would recommend to family and friends the answer is yes yes and yes again. Staff was great from the front desk agent at all hours to the housemen, maintenance, and suite keepers. Beautiful hotel. Not far from the stadium. But a good distance from the airport.

The hotel looks a little older on the outside but the inside appears to be remodeled. Front desk staff was friendly and gave us all the info needed to get to our room. Room was clean, cool, and nice inside. The bed is so comfortable - the sheets are really soft and not noisy when you roll over in bed. Location of hotel is good - near the interstate but not right off it so you don't get a lot of highway noise. Breakfast was standard. Would be so nice if the hotel would offer gluten free options (other than fruit) and would indicate ingredients in eggs (dairy? gluten?). But otherwise breakfast was decent. The 2 ladies working in that area were so nice and made you feel welcome! Would stay here again.

Spent one night here on a 15 day bus trip. Very nice hotel! All of the staff was so very friendly and made us feel like family. Rooms were large and spacious, even for 3 adults in a room. Large bathroom as well. Beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was great and lots of options. I love that they have turkey sausage! Everything was hot and fresh. The staff are some of the hardest workers I’ve seen. All took time to talk to us. We got to meet the famous Scott and the previous reviews are right, he’s amazing. Can’t recommend this hotel enough! Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We asked for extra pillows - received. We asked for a late checkout - no problem. We called after we had driven 400 miles away after checkout to see if they could locate a missing personal item - they found it. Saved us over 500 bucks had we had to get a new one. Also they are promising to mail it to us. They were all so kind and polite. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Thank you for an extremely nice stay!

Our stay at Independence/KC HOLIDAY INN was great. The room was clean, fresh and well furnished. The staff, at every level of care was warm and receptive. We had breakfast in the very clean dining area 2 mornings. When I say clean, I mean clean…..they washed the backs and legs of the chairs and tables. Everyone was very accommodating, it was very well located to meet our needs, and not right on the freeway. It was quiet for a good nights sleep. Will definitely stay there again. THANK YOU.
