Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hot Springs, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Hot Springs - 206 Mehta Ct, USA

First of all let me say I stay at a lot of Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Some are great & some are just ok. This one had nice front desk person & a nice manager. We were given a room and my sister & I went up to it. The first thing we noticed was a big stain on the lounger chair in the room. Did not like it at all. Went down to ask for another room. I was told that was a problem that they were dealing with. We moved to another room and the carpet was filthy. Had big stains in several areas. No way the housekeeping staff does not see that. Stains should be cleaned in between customers. Since we were only staying one night we made do with the carpet stains. Wear shoes in hotel rooms if you don’t. Carpets are very dirty and doesn’t get cleaned very often.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! Everything is a bit smaller than we thought it would be BUT the breakfast was really tasty and the beds are comfy. Staff is super kind and friendly and helpful.

Positive: Comfortable Beds Negative: I have stayed there several times and it has been very clean. The room had a couple of bugs in the floor and ceiling in the bathroom had damage. The carpet looked dirty.

Rooms are nice, water is hot. The front counter people are nice and accommodating. And you can't beat free breakfast. Now for the negatives... Every night I have stayed here people have been stomping around in the room above me waking me up several times each night. I put the door tag for cleaning people to stay out and on the third day the took it off and came in anyways. That's just not right. The wifi is terrible so much so that I may as well not have a connection.. all in all if your not on the top floor you wont get any rest.

Checked into this hotel on 6/14 for a 2 night stay. The first room they put us in smelled like cigarettes. They moved us to another room and that one smelled like urine and body odor. We finally got a 3rd room that we thought was fine, even though the carpet was terribly stained . We stayed the night and the next day myself and my youngest daughter woke up with a few bites but didn’t think much of it. The second morning we got up and packed up and left. All 6 of us had bites all over and we’re pretty sure it was bed bugs, but since we didn’t make a complaint during our stay they are refusing to compensate us. Stay away from this hotel!

Receptionist on the evening shift and the breakfast crew was amazing. No moisturizer in the room . They said that it was in back order status. Stained carpets. Room 114.

Comfortable beds. Breakfast was clean and attended to. The common area hard floors were sticky. Room carpets were stained. Furnishings were likely recently updated. The cleaning staff would constantly let the room doors slam which was loud and annoying to nearby guests.

Went to check in at 3pm and the front desk said they had no rooms ready due to housekeepers quitting. We said that’s fine we will come back later. At 8pm we came back and he handed us a room key to go check the room and see if it’s clean. It was not. We did this 3 different times. On the last room everything looked clean but the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. I said it’s fine we will take it. I guess he got housekeepers in later because at 10pm someone was vacuuming. The only positive was that the beds were really comfortable. Walls are super thin. Could hear everybody and their tv. The next morning while getting packed a roach crawled up the wall! I definitely do not recommend this hotel at all.
