Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hawaiian Gardens, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Hawaiian Gardens - 22434 Norwalk Blvd, USA

I travel for work frequently and every time I find myself in Hawaiian Gardens I stay at this hotel. I choose Holiday Inn Express - Hawaiian Gardens for many reasons, the rooms are exceptionally clean and have a very modern feel. The staff is always incredibly nice and if they have upgrades available they will provide upon request. Some honorable staff mentions MUST include Sidney, Will-I-am, Elizabeth. It is very seldom that I eat breakfast but the times I have it is always hot and ready for my belly and the available items are frequently restocked. I also feel the need to add they have some of the most competitive pricing for rooms compared to other hotels in the area. I have stayed at this hotel over 10 times and the remarks made in this post are consistent with every stay. I hope the staff is happy and stays with the hotel as I believe they are great assets (especially the names mentioned).

This hotel was cool except of the homeless man sitting on the bench leaving a message but I told the front desk and they had the police come remove him and clean it very nice of them, my room was stuffy and bathroom sink drained very slow like it had something in it and my head board was very dusty it messed with my allergies and asked if I can change rooms and Darlene said it wasn't any rooms available which it was so I just had the cleaning lady clean it and she did a great job when I ask her to clean it she clean the whole room thank you for good service house keeper. I would like to thank Rosa for helping me and I would like to give a SPECIAL THANKS For Enrique for his kindness for blessing me with some food left my key to my car and had no way of getting food at midnight and he kindly ask if I wanted something to eat and got it for me and paid for it would not take my money I really appreciate that from the bottom of my heart thank you and the other night guy at the desk was also so kind and friendly and very helpful . What I didn't like was the parking fee I received why should you pay for parking and room parking should be free guess that was for the breakfast that's served everyday. Some people was very loud at the pool woke me up early broke my sleep I did get a late check out with no problem for free.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Thought the walls were a bit thin as I could hear my neighbors have a bit o' fun. Breakfast was great. Didn't enjoy having to trek downstairs to get my food order.

Brand new hotel, great location BUT hotel built so flamzy so if you want to have good nice sleep GOOD LUCK !!!! You can hear everything from next door , upstairs and so on. To save money , they built new dumpster. I had to change my room once and I observed few other guests asked same.

The hotel is new, but that doesn’t mean much. You can hear everything from your neighbors and outside in your room. The breakfast was really bad; items were not replenished at 8:50 even though breakfast closes at 9:30. There was a hidden parking fee of $15 per day. Service at the front desk was poor, and the hotel is definitely poorly managed. I called to request an upgrade since we are Platinum members and were celebrating my husband’s birthday. They confirmed the upgrade, just to tell us what we wanted to hear, but we ended up not receiving it.

Modern and clean. I had minimal interaction with the staff but checking in late /check out was zero issues. The location is very central & parking lot felt safe enough. Don’t expect views since this is literally in the middle of the Long Beach/Cerritos/Hawaiian Gardens area. The hotel had a small pool and gym which was good enough for a quick stay. The beach is a 20 minute drive. Plenty of food choices within a 5 minute drive as well. No mess no fuss and a quiet place to stay when in town. There is plenty of USB plug ins and they have modern black out roller shades. The small thing I noticed is the low water pressure from the shower head but maybe the filter/aerator just needed cleaning. They also only have limited towels so if you want more than the 2 sets, just ask.

The hotel manager is a RACIST! We had very little interaction with the staff during our stay. The hotel doesn't change your sheets every day. They took a $100 deposit when we left, claiming we got a stain on the sheets. We tried to communicate with the hotel manager, but this gentleman kept claiming that we had soiled the sheets and even made the bed full of BLOOD! If it's all blood, why don't we go to the hospital? Why don’t you call police? This is ridiculous. As a person of color, this gentleman made an offensive remark that “if you people can't afford a Hotel, you can go to a Motel, where there is no deposit required!” I can't believe a hotel would say something like that to discriminate against people of color. Very disappointing experience. By the way, I'm sure the hotel will argue that they were not talking nonsense, but we have recordings, and the manager's rude comments are all on tape.

They charge me 100 dollars for leaving a small stain on the bed sheet. The manager William is really rude. He said: if you don’t want to be charged for 100 dollars, go live in a motel. We are a new hotel with new bed sheets and new equipment. We cannot get the stain off the sheet, then we will charge the 100 dollars. Don’t come and leave in this place. I have never seen such a rude manager.
