Holiday Inn Express & Suites Georgetown, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Georgetown - 431 I-35, USA

I'm an IHG Platinum Elite member, and I've stayed at several IHG hotels over the years. My recent experience at this location was very disappointing. The room was decent, but it's obvious corners were cut during the last refresh effort. For example, a cheap shower curtain replaced the shower door, yet the track where the shower door used to be is still intact. The floor of the shower was also stained brown. So, basically the bare minimum was done to refurbish the bathroom. The gym cannot be used since there is no airflow due to the broken AC unit. See the attached photo of the ancient/broken unit. This location also seems to attract a rougher crowd. A lot of yelling, screaming, and other unmentionables by customers took place during my stay, and the front desk did not seem interested in getting involved to remediate the situation. Even though I'm a loyal IHG customer, I'll be staying at another hotel brand on my future visits to Georgetown.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding service we received from the staff at Holiday Inn. We accidentally left our backpack filled with electronics, and the staff went above and beyond to track us down and return it promptly. We were pleasantly surprised by their honesty and efficiency. Special thanks to Housekeeping Staff for their quick thinking and attention to detail. Our experience here truly restored our faith in humanity. Highly recommend this establishment for their exceptional customer service!

I travel alot, business and personal. Love ihg hotels and am a diamond elite member. This location is very well kept and has really friendly and caring staff. The location was great, and the pool was clean and well taken care of. Staff was amazing and friendly and took care of all our needs. The rooms were nice and updated and we're very clean. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great.

I think this property needs a refresh. Most of the Holiday inns I go to are either new or have been remodeled. Water pressure is terrible. And water quality is also equally as terrible. It takes minutes to rinse soap off. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Also in my room, there was a big drain in the middle of the bathroom which I had to cover up with something for fear of bugs crawling out in the middle of the night. And the thermostat on the wall does not communicate with the actual air conditioner so you have to go to the unit itself and adjust the fan speed and temperature. People at the front desk were nice though!

Way overpriced, not clean and not updated. Carpet in rooms was old and torn in places. We were there for two nights and they never cleaned our room. We had to ask for fresh towels. I did get to see the largest spider web I've ever seen in my life in the (indoors) stairwell though. Eggs were weirdly green one morning and the pancake machine didn't work. On top of all of this we found out that they charged us ~$100 more per night than what their own website was saying for the same room and nights, asked for this difference back and was told they would call us. They never did.

Pick this spot while I was in town on business. It was a very nice breakfast bar, a comfortable bed, and I enjoyed that it was quiet. I'm not sure how mong the 2nd floor ice machine was out of order, but I hope they get it fixed before summer gets here.

Felt very welcomed by service desk manager. All employees were helpful, our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable, we ( family of 4 ) all slept so well. The pool was open till 10pm and was also very clean, we loved that the pool is also open early @ 8 giving the kids a chance to swim before checkout. Breakfast was great, we loved all the options. If we’re ever in Georgetown again we’ll be back. Thanks!

They're super nice at the front desk. I just came in to use the restroom and they didn't frown or say anything, he simply said sure and guided me to where it was. It's spotless everywhere. Very clean hotel.
