Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Worth Southwest (I-20) - Hotel in Fort Worth - 4609 Citylake Blvd W, USA

Very convenient location. Right off of I 20 west bound. Under construction but the staff took care of us. Made it easier compared to other surrounding hotels

Positive: This was very convenient to many restaurants in the area. Negative: The breakfast was below the standards for Holiday Inn Express. Instead of fresh eggs, potatoes, and a breakfast meat, this had prepackaged burritos and biscuits. The shower was very plain - no place to put your shampoo or soap, except the floor.

Oh my gosh! After reading the reviews I was worried that I had booked this location. Imagine my happy surprise when we arrived and found those reviews were not completely true! 1. Melissa checked us in and provided outstanding customer service! I asked for a room on the top floor, from the lower floor assigned, and she accommodated us quickly and with a smile. I had a web meeting to attend while the room was being made ready and she directed me to some private areas. 2. The room! I was expecting horror and the room looked amazing! And smelled great too! We gage the quality of hotel rooms by their water pressure, hands down this hotel has the best water pressure!! And hot too !The cleaning staff came EVERY DAY! Who even does that any more?! They do!! 3. The lobby/breakfast was another outstanding area! The food was good and hot and varied! The lobby was clean and looked great. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. 4. The staff! OMG The staff! If everything I’ve written doesn’t have you booking all your stays here then I hope this cinches it for you. We had some important paperwork to send out, I asked my husband to go downstairs and see if they would fax it. Time was of the essence and we were short of it, so going to a fax place to send it was not in our plans. My husband said Shawn at the front desk stopped what he was doing and sent it for us! That's customer service and eveything we experienced above, is why we will return!

Shaun is one of the most awesome assistant managers we have ever met! You literally made an extremely rare & special family trip possible! We are eternally grateful and blessed that you helped us soooo much!

The rooms were okay but the service from the front desk is sub par. I did everything online and over the phone and had some issues with the reservation and they did not seem to care and would only transfer me to the reservations line and not try to assist. Maybe just happened to be the staff I was so lucky to speak with but not impressed by the lack of care from the front desk.

Was not worth the stay. We were attending a concert in Fort Worth at Billy Bob’s TEXAS and live 2 hours away and didn’t want to drive home. Just walking and getting on the elevator looking dingy/unkept. Walking down the hallway to the room you can feel soft spots in floor. I’m the room, beds looked good. Bathroom door did not shut, stuff on the bathroom floor, toilet wouldn’t flush. From the looks of it that toilet does that a lot. Looks like it’s been snaked many of times. Tiles on the floor can be felt shifting under your feet. Go downstairs to use the restroom in the lobby area. Guess what OUT OF ORDER!!! We had to go to a gas station. Complimentary Breakfast not worth the time or wait. Overall not worth the 5 hours of sleep we got. We should’ve just drove the 2 hours back home.

Be aware that the fitness room is closed! I would not stay here again. The location is nice and the front desk and lobby staff are friendly, but this location is very rundown. Our room was dirty and well worn. Couch and shower curtain were stained, food (?) on the wall, bugs on the floor, sloppy repairs and peeling wallpaper. Christi, the manger, was supposed to reach out and never did.

Don't trust their website photos. This place is a dump and completely torn apart. By far, the worst Holiday Inn I've stayed at.
