Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Worth Downtown, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (1026)
Good news first. The room was nice. Elevators are janky and very slow. Now, the dreaded bad news. If you would rather keep your money instead of giving it to Holiday Inn, then I advise you not stay here. Parking your car is supposed to costs 18.00 a day! My 1 little car was 36.00 a day because they double charged me. I wasn't the first and i won't be the last. They didn't even authorize the double charge until after I checked out. I've called up there 4 times to have my statement emailed to me so I can dispute the charge at my bank but the front desk guy during the day continues to say he sent it when he hasn't. I called today to talk to the manager and was hung up on. Good God, whatever you do, don't buy from the snack store. 20.00 for a coke and ice cream, they're charging more than a 5 star would. I have over 5k review readers so let's make an impact. Holiday Inn downtown Fort Worth could've sent my receipt when I asked the first time but management couldn't do what's right. It's my duty to inform the uninformed, let them decide. I have proof of everything that I'm claiming, bank statements and call logs. As much as this place is charging us, you can get top scale for less! When times get tough, DOUBLE CHARGE! Now you know!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Worth Downtown with my husband, and we were impressed with the overall experience. The front desk receptionist on Sunday afternoon, the 7th, was particularly friendly and welcoming.
The location was perfect for our eclipse-watching adventure, with plenty of nearby options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Our room was clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and clean sheets. While the bathtub could have been cleaner, it seemed to be a stain rather than dirt. The bathroom is really small, but it works fine.
We appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including Dove toiletries and complimentary essentials if we forgot anything. The towels were also super clean and plush. My husband enjoyed the gym facilities, and I was impressed by the hotel's overall cleanliness, except the carpet on the floor we stayed in, it was filthy, and kind of wet.
While the area may seem a bit rough, we felt safe and had no issues during our stay.
The parking lot has to be upgraded, there are not spaces for a fully booked hotel with six floors.
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely choose this hotel again when visiting Fort Worth.
P.S: I forgot to take pictures inside the hotel!
Marquita was extremely helpful in booking a room for me. I mistakenly booked a room for the wrong day, but she was able to not only help me get me the right room, but she honored the price for the special I had as well. She was extremely pleasant to speak to as well, and her warm, cheerful and professional demeanor was very much welcome in my situation. Thank you so much, Marquita!!!
My wife and I stayed here before and during her procedure at Harris. Check-in was a breeze. The room was great. Beds were ok. Bathroom was a little tight. The shower water pressure was horrible but I did let the front desk know upon checkout. This hotel had had one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had. I guess the floor we stayed on had some renovations going on because you could smell the paint. Not much to eat close to the hotel but after a 15 minute walk there is plenty around. Parking lot is a little small and doesn't seem like there are enough spots if all of the rooms were taken. Would definitely come back here if we had to be close to Harris/Cooks/Baylor hospitals in the future.
First, let me start with the staff. They are AMAZING! The two ladies that were working the front desk (Amy and I didn’t get the other lady’s name) were fantastic. But, this is by far the most run down and dirty Holiday Inn I’ve ever been to. The first room (615) was half way clean, but the mattress should be thrown away. It is crunchy like the springs are broken in it and extremely uncomfortable. I went to call the front desk to ask about being moved to a different room and the phone didn’t work so I went downstairs and they moved me to a new room (529). The new room was about as clean as the first one, but the bed was comfortable. The back door to the hotel parking lot has a closer on it that is hanging down low and I ran right into it while trying to go out of the door (picture attached). Luckily I was wearing a ball cap and it didn’t cut my head, but it put a knot on it. The parking here is horrible. Very tight spots, homeless people and trash everywhere in the parking lot and the hotel charges you $18 to park there each night. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
I was at this hotel for 7 days. Hyllary Pickens,at the front desk, was so kind and helpful. She always had a smile on her face and was very accommodating. I had forgotten my lotion and she gave me her personal full bottle of Bath and Body lotion. It made the long stay very pleasant.
I truly enjoyed my stay… the were great, and the location is perfect (right next to downtown). The breakfast was complimentary and had some of everything you could imagine. I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Shout out to James he was awesome!
The location's proximity to downtown is great and the customer service is better than most Holiday Inns. (Marquita is awesome) The swimming pool area is run down with dirty, slippery tile. The first room they gave me had a broken shower faucet. It ran all night. It was a constant flow of water because the handle wouldn't spin. Typical free breakfast. The area was clean and well maintained. There are other nicer hotels in the area with the same price. Maybe try there first. As a last resort hotel, it'll work. The elevator is a bit sketchy. One had an alarm that would buzz at different times and the other seemed to get stuck every now and then. If you'd like to take the stairs to the basement pool area or workout area, you will be walking outside as stairs do not go directly from inside of the hotel to the basement.
