Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fairmont - Hotel in Fairmont - 2256 Landing Ln, USA

I've stayed at this hotel often and it has been great. Be aware however they are doing major lobby construction and have a notice up the pool, gym, vending, laundry, etc. is closed. I was told construction would be ongoing for a month longer but not certain when amenities would be open again. Staff always friendly and rooms ways clean. Eat at DJ's Diner right down the road as they are fabulous!

The hotel had new finishes and was very clean throughout. The room was clean and the ac/heater was not noisy as we have experienced in other hotels. Breakfast was a definite plus; served hot and fresh, the breakfast bar was kept clean continuously. Overall a great hotel stay - wish they all would work out as well as this stay did.

This was overall a very nice place to stay. Our room 305 was very clean with nice furnishings. The two queen beds each had four pillows and the mattresses were comfortable. ||There is a flat screen TV about 48” on the wall. They use Dish Network. They have a guide for about 45 channels but there are four channels listed which do not come on the screen when you tune in. Plenty of sports channels and two HBO channels. No Hallmark.||The room has a closet with hangers and ironing board behind a door on the side. A small safe is on the floor of the closet. There is the typical refrigerator and coffeemaker in the room.||The bathroom was clean. A hair dryer is in a bag hanging on the back of the door. The light for the bathroom goes all the way around the wall over the sink. It’s a little blinding. A not-so-bright setting would be nice. The shower water pressure is weak also. Even on the smallest stream it is not strong.||There is a nice place on which to rest two suitcases which was helpful. Also a good table and chair my wife used to put on makeup. We had a decent view facing the mountains. ||The included free breakfast had most of what anyone might want. The juices were good, coffee, muffins and cinnamon buns, eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, bread for toast, cereals, pancakes from a machine.||The front desk clerk was very nice. The maid service replaced our towels each day.|The room thermostat, though digital, seemed old-fashioned. I think they should replace them with ones that the settings light up on. Hard to change it at night unless you turn on a bright light. If we go back we would stay here again.||The prices were increased a lot due to it being homecoming weekend for WVU with the game scheduled Saturday afternoon.

Our late Check-in was super smooth & easy. The room (King Suite) was very spacious with a let out Love Seat. The room was very nice, clean, & recently remodeled. The only issue I would describe is the room door was not fully flushed to the frame & I could hear noises from the hallway. Overall I would return & recommend family & friends for a stay.

This hotel is solidly mid-tier and suited to short stays. Service and amenities are average (1-ply tissue and toilet paper). We were there to attend a wedding and it would have been fine had it not been for the early morning disturbances that occurred each of the early mornings during our stay. Early one morning there was a fight in the parking lot; early the next morning there was a woman banging loudly on a guest's door and shouting expletives at the top of her voice. Some security measures are badly needed at this hotel.

Positive: The staff was friendly and helpful. Negative: I would not rate this hotel an 8.8. The heat did not work in our room. The first night we stuck it out in a cool room. We were moved for the second night. The hotel could be updated. Morning breakfast was limited due to limited workers.

The room was nothing special but fine enough... what is getting this place a 5 star review from me is the service from its staff. Excellent all around. We left my sons baby blanket behind and having to work with the staff to get that shipped back to us was so seamless I had to come leave a review as a thank you. Even without having to deal with getting an item returned, everyone I spoke to there was extremely professional and most importantly kind - exactly the staffing you want in a customer service type position. Would stay here again.

We stayed two nights for a family reunion. Overall, our stay was quite pleasant. The staff we interacted with were pleasant and professional. The room was newly remodeled and very nice. The two minor issues we had were that remodeling was occurring on the second floor; they did their best to limit the intrusion, but there was still some. Also, a couple of the 'hot' breakfast items, weren't. Since there was no microwave in the breakfast area (there is in the rooms) we didn't eat them.
