Holiday Inn Express & Suites Deland South, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in DeLand - 180 Fenway Dr, USA

I went with my son and stayed for 1 night and was very impressed on how clean the room was, everything was restocked. This hotel overall gets a 100 from me on cleanliness! But the best part was how nice the staff was, specially Kenya at the front desk. After we checked out I dropped my son off at his event and I had to work so I stayed in the lobby for a few hours. Kenya came by to check on me, asked me if there was anything I needed and even offered me some water. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

We were very impress with this hotel and staff. Especially PI she was amazing and so professional. Stephanie and the manager of the hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms are super clean and are very comfortable plus spacious. They all went way beyond for us to meet all our needs. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Deland, FL. Thank you all for what you do it doesn't get unnoticed. We appreciate it. PI keep up the great work.

8 night stay. A bit noisy @ night but people need to have fun. I gave the room a 5 but it seems even at $100+ a night one must ask for room cleaning... The counter staff - Kenya and Laura were 5+ employees and the others were very good airbnb vs HI Deland... I liked Holiday Inn better

Location is great it’s close to everything. For the most part staff was great except the African guy that works the overnight shift… he was extremely lazy and misinformed. The rest of the staff though was great! Rooms stayed clean towels were always stocked and they were very accommodating to the trailer and bikes since I visited during bike week. Breakfast lacked most of the time I was there though which was a bummer.

I would’ve given the hotel a 4, but the day counter staff are not friendly at all. They couldn’t even bother to look up when I went to the counter and I was there 5 days. The night staff is great. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is a typical HI breakfast.

Staff was extremely rude, General manager Kristi Townsend was absolutely the opposite of helpful, even instigated the situation worse. Food was bland and overall as a Diamond Elite rewards member I will never stay at this hotel.

While the front desk staff was pleasant, unfortunately, we had a negative stay at this hotel. The room appeared superficially cleaned. The back of the toilets were very sticky, and Hair was left around the sink area in the bathroom. A sticky substance was on the carpet near the TV. We were excited that there was breakfast in the morning, however, it appeared that they turned off the food warmers. By 9:30 AM, all of the food was cold. Some of the food was not edible (the sausage patties were stiff and tough to chew). If you are a light sleeper, this would not be a good hotel to stay at. The walls do not appear to be soundproofed at all. This would only be a slight annoyance with normal guest noise level but unfortunately, the guests in the room above us were arguing or fighting for hours. They were stomping on the floor and moving furniture or throwing things making it very difficult to sleep. The front desk staff was not downstairs or answering the phone as this was occurring. We do not typically leave reviews, but I decided to take the time to complete this when the survey was sent to me. We will not be staying at this location in the future.

Rooms here are pretty great...very clean. Only thing I find odd is water pressure is super weak. I've stayed here 3x in different rooms..same low pressure in every room. Breakfast is pretty darn great!! Crispy bacon, instant pancakes, lots of breads and things to choose from, yogurts...yea, excellent breakfast!
