I needed a place to sleep close to my hunting area. This place fit the bill. clean and comfortable. Staff was professional and courteous. I did not have time for the breakfast because I left for the day before it started. The coffee was good and ready before I left at 0545. I had trouble keeping the room (112) at a comfortable temperature. Either too hot or too cold. I would stay again .
Our family of 4 visited in mid October. We got a 2 Queen room with a sofa bed. The room had a balcony overlooking the patio & waterfall out back. I'm sure the waterfall is beautiful in the summer, but it was turned off by this time of year. Housekeepers were friendly & hard working. We got our room serviced every day. Rooms are well designed & updated, but the sofa bed was a bit dilapidated & sloped down toward the head of the bed. Breakfast was adequate, but because they were busy, they were often out of things & the staff was not always on top of things there. Our daughter enjoyed the pool & hotub. They also have a nice exercise room that was kept at a cool temp. Nice for hard workouts. Great location for Custer State Park.
Great place to stay in Custer, SD when the seasonal places are closed for the Winter. We came to town for a wrestling tournament and were greated both online & at the desk. Very clean and comfortable rooms! The workout room was nice and the pool looked great but did not have time to use it.
Really enjoyed our stay, room was spacious, clean and quite. Bathroom was large also which is nice when traveling as a couple. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was pretty average, could have been better but wasn't bad.
I have never experienced a worst front desk staff then this inn. To begin with, I was not even greeted when I arrived, which apparently at 1:45pm was too earlier to check-in. I was told I could check in at 2:30. No sorry or please comeback. The young man was totally disinterested. He was dressed very casual clothes without a name badge. He also likes to sit with what appears to be his feet on the desk. When I returned, again no greeting or acknowledgement of my being a rewards member (especially since I was staying on points). I found out Saturday night that they have a policy (for the last 3 months) of no housekeeping on weekends, unless requested. in advance. No mention of that at check-in. The only person that was professional in appearance was the lady in charge of the breakfast area. She was well organized. Truthfully, I did not see any housekeeping staff, so cannot comment on their presentation.
We had a nice 6 day stay! Room was clean and bed was comfy plus love having a balcony and window that opens!
Breakfast was good, my only complaint is the community gallons of milk, which I find very weird. Usually you have individual containers of milk.
Also the kitchen crew needs to work harder with trash removal in the kitchen and dining area.
Had an excellent 2 day stay here. Our room was clean, functional, quiet and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast area is large and very well done other a great view out the wall of windows. The breakfast was well done. Parking is adequate and convenient. We’d definitely stay here again.
This hotel was wonderful! We brought a charter tour bus group there to spend the night on our Frontier Tour. The sales manager, Tammy Wicks, met us at the bus to greet everyone. This is VERY rare! The front desk was ready for our arrival with keys ready to pass out and luggage was handled in such a timely manner too. Tammy shared with us good restaurants to eat at for dinner and all the staff was so friendly. They obviously enjoy having groups stay at their hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We WILL be bringing groups here in the future!

Such a cute little place to stay. It was so quint and cute. Nothing fancy but just cute. Very nice and very peaceful. It was chilly when we were in town so we didnât do much of the outside things but we did swim in the pool and sit in the hot t
This is by far the most awe-inspiring trail I have ever done. The views of the surrounding area and the rock formations are breathtaking. The photos can't truly capture the beauty here.
The trail was a bit more difficult than we expected. A couple
This is an amazing local gem. The food was beautifully delicious and the staff were all delightful. I loved my breakfast salad, and the rice pudding was...breathtaking.
Make sure to make a reservation so you don't have to wait, and then enjoy. Hjem w
This is our second time coming and is hands down best combination of culinary, dining, and service experience weâve had in the Black Hills so far. This is a high standard to beat as we tend to be foodies. Our meal was impeccable. My husband and I b
I drove an hour with my kids just to eat here and as usual it didn't disappoint! Excellent food! Very busy, which was expected. Staff worked quickly to get people seated and orders in for those of us waiting by the door. This made the wait short! We
Absolutely loved this campground! The views were amazing! Easy access to everything in Custer State Park. Host on site and very helpful. The restrooms were very clean. My 25' trailer fit perfectly in spot #3. I would highly recommend this state park
We had a great experience at Custer. There were hundreds of bison and we were able to watch several bulls testing each other. It was an awe inspiring moment. We saw a coyote, a handful of whitetail deer, wild donkeys (including a baby) and literally
Quite possibly the best Reuben sandwich I have ever tastedâ¦and I order one whenever I eat out, if it is on the menu! Definitely stop by when in town. Nice people, great eats and a clean space.
We stopped based on a local friends recommendation. Miner's cup did not disappoint. The kids love their hot chocolates. I was happy to see an Iced Caramel Macchiato on their menu. The 20 oz comes with 3 shots, which is standard. I'm used to quads.
I really appreciate that they mark gluten free items on the menu and accommodate people with celiac disease.
You can order on the screen in the entry room or at the counter. Cute Cafe, and efficient service. I enjoyed the gf crustless quiche.

We stayed at Stockade Lake North in our truck tent on a site with no electric hookup. There was plenty of space at our site to feel private, despite the campground being almost completely occupied. We also had a picnic table and fire pit (the hosts t
