Holiday Inn Express & Suites Coralville, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Coralville - 970 25th Ave, USA

Staff was helpful and very pleasant. April and Brittany! The hotel is under renovation currently but it was not an issue for us. We got exactly the room we asked for thanks to April. And Brittany kept making fresh coffee all night. The area was quiet and the Olive Garden right beside it made for a perfect New Years Eve treat! It is located right beside a mall but we didn't do any shopping, but it would make a great "girls trip" place to stay!

The room was clean but a little tired. The window shade in our room was broken. The exercise room is tiny but the equipment was in good condition. The breakfast room was not as spacious or well equipped as other Holiday Inn Express hotels. They’re in the process of remodeling. Location is very convenient to shopping and the highway. ||Not the most memorable stay we’ve had but it was a reasonable place to stay for a night.

I wanted to write a review solely to call out the excellent customer service I received from the night auditor, Brittany. I was in Coralville with my daughters and their friends so they could attend a local concert. The concert got delayed and then cancelled. I had made a hotel reservation after the delay, and then once it was cancelled I tried to cancel my reservation (literally an hour or two after making the reservation). IHG was unable to get the front desk to cancel, and that employee was not friendly nor willing to work with us. I figured I was just out the money, but a half hour later Brittany called and was so polite and refunded my charges due to circumstances. Didn’t expect it, but so thankful for her and her customer service!

From the reception greeting us - to the lovely lady who setup our breakfast buffet who was so kind & helpful - to our exit the next day this was a great place to stay! Clean & cozy room. Quiet & restful evening. It was a great refuge from the days very tiresome drive. We were very pleased & would recommend this to anyone needing refuge from the road.

I stayed here while my mom was in UIHC and the convenience of booking the room was nice. Staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Room was clean, shower very big, and the environment was nice and quiet. Would definitely be staying here again.

I was driving across the country and so having a place to rest my head that feels a little like home is so important especially after a 14-hour-a-day drive. I think ya'll hit the nail on the head with the personable staff, and modern clean facilities. Especially the bed. I love the 2 types of pillows offered and the bed in my opinion, is in the "goldilocks" zone - not too hard, not too soft!

Positive: The room was spacious and the bedding was great. We liked that the window opened a couple of inches to get fresh air in the room. The CO2 measured low our entire stay Negative: Only 2 negatives: 1) of the shelves in the bathroom hadn¿t been wiped down. 2) sewer smell in the lobby.

We have stayed here several times and keep coming back because of the cold ac and the location. The staff are always very friendly, more so than most. There are a few things we don't love- train tracks are across the street, the train comes through in the middle of the night and will wake you if you aren't a sound sleeper. The hotel has only 1 elevator and it is very slow. If you are on the top floor it can take 5+ minutes waiting, take the stairs if you can. Not much in the way of vending machines, and it doesn't have a little store like many others. Vending is cash only. The hotel has been updated some but you can tell it still needs a good amount of work.
