While the staff were friendly, their attention to detail and the quality of the rooms are pretty low. Loose fixtures, leaks in the ceiling, and even some old eye lashes hanging around from a previous visitor. Maybe from the same customer, but there was also loose medication just laying on the floor near the bed. I'm glad I don't have young kids who could have found it and put it in their mouth. The AC in the room barely worked and if we could get it below 73'F, we were doing good. Most of the breakfast items were cold or were gone with 45 minutes still remaining in the breakfast service times. Management, please don't scold or question employees the way you did in front of customers - instead pull them quietly to the side before doing so. One employee was doing the best they could given the situation and the perception to your customers in the vicinity was that you didn't care and it wasn't professional. I felt bad for them and any embarrassment you may have caused. The worst part about this location is the parking lot. If you value your car, do not park here. You WILL end up with damage - we did! Spots are super tight, there's no room for large vehicles, and nobody seems to be able to pull in straight. If you're able to snag one of the 4-5 good spots early, don't leave - you probably won't have anywhere to park when you get back. My final $0.02 - keep driving a bit longer and skip this Holiday Inn Express.

Great place for a stay. Breakfast was great and views from the hotel of the mountains, gorgeous! Only complaint are the extremely tight parking and lack of parking available! We had a small car and couldn't get out of our own car! I got out before hubby parked and he parked closer to the other car to be able to get out himself! I recommend this hotel. However, just be mindful of the parking situation!

Positive: I loved that it had a sofa and sofabed pull-out. It helps so much with our teen/pre-teen boys so they have their own space for sleeping! Really nice pool and hot-tub and great views of Pike's Peak from the outside patio by the breakfast area. Location! Negative: ""

Pretty disappointed right at check in. Got there at 6 PM and standing at the front desk for a few minutes and no employees in sight. Called the main number and after it rang about 20 times an employee came out from the room adjacent to the front desk and was clearly sleeping. No recognition of rewards member status upon check in. Gym was a mess. Missing ceiling tiles, no towels in there all three days. Dirt from someone coming in with muddy shoes all three days so it was apartment the gym is never cleaned. Breakfast was good. Beds weren’t the comfortable ones that are normally at a Holiday Inn Express. Maybe it was just the room we were in since it was at the end of the hall but there was no hanging space in it and bathroom was a very awkward layout.

Room wasn't kept very well with lights that didn't work and phone outlets hangings lose out of the wall. Luggage cart old and needed replacement. Shower was best part of room. Mattress worn out with dip badly needed replacement. For price lipstick on a pig.

Skip this hotel. Uncleanly, smoky rooms, piles of linens and trash at all times of the day and night, broken facilities, bad breakfast hours, no parking. We arrived late at night around 12:30am for our king room and the room we were assigned (415) smelled SO BADLY of cigarette smoke. We had just signed a waiver in the lobby not even 2 minutes before entering the room saying there was a $300 fine for smoking. We immediately returned to the lobby to let them know that the room was very smokey prior to our stay to make sure we didn’t get fined. We returned to our room and started to get ready for bed but the odor was so bad we decided to ask for a different room, even if it was a downgraded room as long as it didn’t smell so strong. The front desk attendant was very understanding and took $20 off our room for the night and assigned us room 220 instead. It was a queen room but we didn’t know it was going to be a “shared” room with a door to another room inside of it. We decided this was still better than the smoke room. The blinds were completely broken in this room and the layout made no sense (no nightstand on one side of the bed but the room easily could have been a double queen room due to its size). After getting our bags into the room, we went to go park our car. There were NO SPOTS LEFT. the parking behind the building was such a tight lot that many of the cars were double parked just because of how narrow the lines are and how impossible it would be to turn around. Parking at the sister hotel across the lot was also full. Parking in the side lot is labeled as private parking and no hotel guests allowed to park there. Not cool!! Additionally, there were huge piles of towels in the hall, dirty drinking fountain and ice makers, and overflowing trash in multiple different places (see photos). Honorable mention- the breakfast hours here were stuck on a sticky note over the permanent sign as only 6:00-9:30 daily which really put the cherry on top of this rough stay. Skip this one!

As others have shared, the parking is tight. A clean-up of the trash just outside of the fence would be nice. Nice view of Pikes Peak from the property. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Appreciated that room preferences were fulfilled. Front desk check-in was friendly. Breakfast area was a bit cramped, but had adequate variety and quality of food. Could see the single small elevator being a challenge if the hotel was full and/or if the elevator experienced mechanical problems. Overall, a positive experience.

Pick a different Holiday Inn. I use my HIG points and huge mistake to book this hotel. 2nd day the electricity blew out in my room. Had to move to another room. 2nd room, after unpacking the air/heater was broke. Told I could move again or maintenance would fix it at 2pm. Didn't get fixed. Was told the guy works multiple properties and wouldn't come. Had my 6 year old grandson, had drove 14 hours and chose to stay in the room no air or heat. I had a lot of Easter gifts with me and tired. 2nd day at hotel I went to the front desk to attempt to resolve issues. Huge argument occurring between a guest, cleaning staff and hotel management. Guest stated the cleaning staff had been rude. Manager had lost control of the situation. Possibly should have spoke with the guest and separately talk to the employee. After about 5 minutes I left that area as it was embarrassing seeing the guest being yelled at. My MacBook Air was plugged into the wall when the electricity blew out. Now my battery shows it's damaged and needs to be taken for repair. Manager said she couldn't know when my battery was damaged and kinda "oh well!" The pool area was good and the bed was comfortable.

My bride and I enjoyed our stay immensely. It took a lot to coordinate a wedding and therefore didn’t get to spend as much time as we wanted to at Chateaux as we wanted but the evenings were filled with romance due to the ambiance of the house. Th
