Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cocoa, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (798)
I stayed here for one night before a cruise. The location is good with fast food and convenience store in walking distance. Nice pool, hot tub, and great breakfast. I was prepared to leave a 5-star review because everything was so great, until I got to the cruise port and realized I forgot my fan. I had left it on the desk/dresser. I went back to the hotel when we got home from the cruise, and one of the cleaning ladies was called up. She went and talked to some people who said they didn't see it. It was suggested by an employee that when things are left behind, they are thrown away. So either that or someone stole it. Either way I consider it stolen because who would thrown someone else's stuff in the trash? It wasn't even a small fan. The staff should not be in the practice of throwing things away that get left behind - that is absolutely absurd and very bad business. I won't stay here again.|I am sure I will get the standard response from whoever reads these reviews that says "we are sorry for your experience, we will bring your complaints to the top, blah, blah".
Nice and clean room and the hotel is very clean as well/welcoming. Professional and nice staff. Bathroom could use some work; single ply TP, loud fan, weak shower head, and toilet seat doesn’t stay up. Warm breakfast was great though, bacon, sausage, eggs, two types of mini omelettes, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, etc. Best value so far in central Florida and our 3rd hotel here on travel this trip.
Nice soft beds, clean rooms, Dove toiletries, decent breakfast selection, beautiful pool area, twenty minutes from public beach access. However, sadly there was a LOUD party going on in the banquet hall. It started after we checked in (which was roughly 9pm) and when I called after an hour of the loud music, I was told it was rented until midnight, they paid alot for it, and there was nothing the front desk could do. So, the extra money we paid for a room at a better than roadside motel because we wanted a good night’s sleep after a long 12 hour drive yesterday and six more to go today doesn’t matter? I feel like there definitely needs to be a compromise between noise level after a certain hour in the banquet hall if they’re going to be renting it until midnight because that’s not fair to the other paying guests.
I had a beautiful suite that had an extremely comfortable bed and a great shower! Their breakfast bar was great also. Love this place.
Positive: Pool area & pool hours are great, its open late. Breakfast was a variety. Gym decent size. Outdoor area is huge with a brick trail area for walking & tons of beautiful plants & shade. Negative: I didnt get the room pictured, I had selected & paid more for. They also double charged me for the room and didnt tell me.
Called early to have a baby crib in the room. No problem they said. Arrived late after very lonooong travel day at midnight to find no crib. No way to get one. Had to put 6 month old on a sheet on the floor. They brought the crib to us right before we checked out. Otherwise nice room and good breakfast.
Positive: We werent able to check in til 1am, due to our flight....we called the staff to inform them and they were very courteous to ensure our check in was fast and easy. Negative: ""
My family and I stayed here for one night over spring break. We found it to be close to the cruise port. We booked a 2 Queen Suite (as we needed 3 beds). We were driving in the same day and called ahead to let them know we would be arriving around 10pm. We were told there would be no issues. Upon arrival, we found that we were in a 2 Queen Room – no suite. Upon asking, we were told that our booked room had undergone “Deep Disinfecting” and that the carpets were still wet. What happened in this room? A murder? Bed bugs? We informed them that we booked a suite and needed another room due to the lack of a 3rd bed. They refused to comp another room. The best they could do was take some off of the current room. We inquired about our original room and after 45 minutes of verifying, the cleaning group came back down to the front desk. The front desk clerk and the cleaning lady went outside to talk. Our room was still “torn apart” and not ready. This was at 11pm. At this time, I didn’t want the original room and was scared of what happened, or bugs. I decided to meet in the middle and ask for a king room for a discount of $80. Keep in mind that we originally had 3 beds and they were refusing to comp another room. The District Manager was called and refused. The hotel manager also refused and said she didn’t have the authority to comp another room. After arguing for a few minutes, we finally settled on $120 a night for the other room. They then charged me taxes and refused to lower the base price to meet the agreed upon total of $120. The new room’s carpet was wet by the air conditioner up to the bed. Overall, terrible place to stay. Terrible management. Terrible customer service. Not worth being close to the port, if you value your health and safety. Potential bugs? I’d stay far away from this hotel.

Heard about them and had to give them a try. First off the people are so nice and welcoming. Tried some new things they suggested and was blown away by the flavors. So much food at a great price and a ton of drinks and sodas I have never seen before.
