Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clute - Lake Jackson, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (319)
So we just stayed there over this labor day weekend. It had actually booked a different hotel. The la quinta inn two buildings down. We are from Houston and needed a family getaway. The la quinta had so many problems most off black mold no power ac doesn't work and roaches at breakfast so we didn't eat that morning. Rude owner just a terrible terrible time there and I had two children ages 2 and 7. They refused to refund so we had no choice to to stay until the morning when we would be refunded. Anyways just an awful experience and exhausting as we weren't roomed until 11 at night we were there at 8. But there rooms all had issues. We decided to just leave as we where already tired 😫 stressed and just a smooth place to be with children. The Holiday INN was our place! Food was amazing before we checked in they allowed us to eat while we waited for a room no questions asked. We needed 3 rooms as we had at la quinta. The staff at holiday in the receptionists Kristen who was absolutely Accommodating especially to my children and I and our family. Seeing as we were over heated tired and stressed. The other hotel ac did not work so we slept in heat. The manager approved of us to get into our rooms immediately and we could never be so grateful! Rooms where cleaned nice and cool, smelled great, breakfast as amazing, the pool was clean and cool. It had shampoo and conditioner bath supplies uff . It was so wonderful! TV worked lol the other place it didn't nor the phones or had toilet paper 😑. Needless to say they helped us so much and we will recommend this hotel and stay there again. And is now our favorite hotel! The price was just right! And we were much more relaxed and our children where safe. Thank you to the staff the lady's who cook and clean it was incredible! Their hard work shows. And is greatly appreciated!
Made reservations a day prior through the ihg site. Checked in after hitting up the beach. Check in was fast and friendly, turns out we were able to upgrade to a suite. It was amazing. I'd given 5 stars on room, but our ac controls weren't working so we were pretty cold, but I didn't mind. Breakfast was the usual only ok, but not bad. I've been in many holiday inn expresses all the way up to Maine and back, this was by far one of the best!
Positive: Pool was nice but difficult to get to. Negative: Signage was almost nonexistent. Dark room. Interesting tv remote
Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Coffee was good. Breakfast could have been better. 1st night the elevator was down so we had to take the stairs. The staff did offer a room on the bottom floor but we chose to keep our room and go up stairs so not really a complaint.
My room #310 had very low water pressure and barely had warm water. He had to wait about 10 minutes after turning on the shower for it to heat up enough to actually take one. For some reason this hotel doesn't have any cable and it's kind of like watching regular cable back from the '90s that only had about 40 channels. The rooms do not look like they're very clean the nasty carpet on the floor is in need of an upgrade The entire room is in need of an upgrade. I guess that's what you would expect from a hotel that is near a bunch of refineries and chemical plants. No kitchenettes at all so if you're going to stay in that area for a long time look for other places. Parking was a disaster because there's so many people there that there aren't enough spaces. That's about it.
Checking in was great. The staff member made it amazing, wish I would have gotten their name. The rest of the staff weren't friendly and that's cool with me. Someone else may have an issue with that. The rooms while well maintained for the most part, have a distinct smell almost like chlorine that hasn't been washed properly. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't exactly pleasant either. Breakfast is decent if you eat pork and eggs. If you're a vegetarian forget about it, wasn't that memorable anyway. All in all would stay here again for a day or two max, not longer than that.
The Front desk staff really made our stay comfortable and safe and handle all our requests without hesitation! The breakfast was just okay. Not nitpicking but some issues should be addressed like unable to enter thru side doors when parking along side of hotel, refilling of hand sanitizers in public areas of hotel and ensure door to room is closed after cleaning/preparation (arrived to find room left open).
Hotel is located right along the service road with many fast food restaurants gas stations including Buccees nearby!!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Was very comfortable convenient safe n relaxing! Will definitely be back!
The lady at the front seat was nice and greeted me as an elite member. The room was clean and the water was hot with good pressure. The pillows was uncomfortable and made me sore the following day. I would recommend to others.

One of the BEST pizzas we ever had! The dough is on the thick side, but it is so light, fluffy and buttery it just melts in your mouth. All the ingredients are fresh (had pepperoni, onion and mushrooms). Perfect amount of cheese with the perfect amou

When having an argument with the wife, storming out of the house and coming here for a Dirty Donkey plate makes everything better... Still great meals and great service at a good price, their lunch specials can't be beat, especially their taco lunch
Went here during my Christmas break with family and I really did enjoy the food. Everyone in the family really liked the food. We started off with some ceviche and tostadas and salsa. The salsa was really spicy and caught me off guard. The family got
I'm not sure how much "atmosphere" a hamburger joint can exude but the smell of burgers cooking in Whataburger are enough for me! My all time favorite and has been for a long time. They make all of their food when you order it and there's plenty to c
