Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chehalis-Centralia, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (706)
Stayed here several times over the years. This time (July 2024) was horrible. It’s under construction but, unlike other hotels when under construction, quit much of their common area cleaning because of it. No vacuuming of debris in the hallways, stairwell, or elevator. Laundry and cleaning room propped open and boxes of garbage outside it. The pool was disgusting covered in hair and floating goo. It smelled horrible. I informed the front desk, no change. The type of dirty that takes a while to get there, so no surprise. The construction equipment and containers were haphazard all over the parking area, taking up at least half the parking and making the place feel very unsafe. AC ventilation works intermittent and the bathroom fan made noise but moved no air. Our was dank by the time we left, which is probably why the window was (very oddly) open when we checked it.
Very nice updated 4th floor (where we stayed)! The rest of the hotel does need some upgrading but it was still nice and clean. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed and both were clean and nice. The breakfast was a good assortment of choices and it suited us. The coffee could have been better though. Be warned that there is a train on the back side (odd number rooms) of the hotel. It goes 24/7. It was fairly busy on the tracks during our stay but it didn’t keep us up.
BLUF : my rating 4.5/5 , good breakfast and good rooms. Ask for a room on the quiter side, away from the train tracks and you will be fine. We stayed here on our way from the coast to Mt Rainier. The hotel is nice, staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. I loved their brown bread and omelets. The coffee for some reason was always lukewarm even when it was a fresh pot, so I made myself some hot tea. We stayed in a newly renovated room, it was spacious and looked good. The only downside of the hotel are the train tracks that run by it. We read some previous reviews and asked for a room away from the tracks. That helped, we got a good night's sleep.
One test of quality is what is done when a difficulty arises. We reserved a room through a 3rd party with a king size bed and when we got to the room there were two queen beds. I looked toward the window and it had no curtains. The idea of not having privacy or having to wake up with the sunrise is not very appealing. There has been an ongoing remodel and the installer had not completed installing curtains and rods in all the rooms. The staff brought up construction paper and tape to at least cover the window. I give them 5 stars for their effort. The breakfast was above average and the coffee was strong enough to wake me up after the first cup. The hotel is clean and well kept. We did end up having our nights stay refunded. In business I value ethics. It is the foundation for long term relationships. This hotel has them. I would be happy to return and pay the normal rate.
I’m not sure of the location but we have had a tyre incident on the I5 South and had to check in around 8 PM on a Saturday. April was very kind enough to help us out in the last minute with an amazing room for 4 adults - Can’t thank her enough. The Room and the breakfast were pretty much amazing.
After a long day of travel we had trouble finding a room in the Olympia area. Ended up way south in chehalis and so thankful for holiday inn to be there as I’m a member only to find myself charge almost $400 for a room that normally would be $200. Very disappointing. Especially since the location was being renovated and half the parking lot was occupied with storage containers. Will definitely let Holiday Inn corporate know about the price gouging
Very terrible place to say.. the front desk girls are rude they were very prejudice to me and my family. they had cockroaches in the parking lot. The laundry room was not maintenance well enough to my expectations. They lied and told us there wasn’t anymore rooms available when more of my family coming from California called and was glad to give them business.I am absolutely never going to be staying here again anyone I come across that asks about this hotel I would highly recommend to not give them business.
The newly renovated rooms are awesome! And the staff are pleasant and always there to help. I really appreciate seeing April at the front desk she's definitely on point all the time, quick and efficient. Definitely an asset to the IHG team.

Dropped in for Dinner. We ordered Manny's pale ale and Lowit Grimlock Porter which as it turned out was a bit of hopps at the finish. We ordered a House Salad which came with a nice surprise garlic bread, and the Prawns scallops and rice with red and
They always have great food and always made fresh. The only thing I have to complain about is the price of everything. We used to be able to go there and get a good meal under 10 bucks per person but now we have to pay about 18 for each of us. It's n
Fabulous way to spend some quality time with my youngest son. This place is a gem, and we will be back again for sure. Entry is $5 per person, there are two sessions per day to enjoy. If you want to attend both of them, it's an additional $5 per pers
This is a review for the Polar Express train ride. After we purchased the tickets, I read reviews from years ago that mentioned negative things so we were worried about going. We still went with open mind and drove close to 2 hours in traffic to get

Great restrooms. Each one is private for one person. The bathrooms are always clean and warm! On crisp fall days, that's the best. Small playground, but has the essentials. Slide, swings and merry go round. The park itself is stunning. Beautifully ke
