We had a queen suite booked but that room smelled like dog, so we tried to move and none of the same type room was available. The person running the desk offered a discount for a connecting room which we took because we had to get to the purpose for our stay (the coliseum). No manager was available so I planned to ask about the situation in the morning.
Adjoining rooms were clean and well appointed.
Kids didn’t get to use pool but they said fitness room was a little small. It’s not made for three people to work out on the same equipment at the same time, but it does have the basics which is helpful.
Jan keeps breakfast well stocked and fresh. She’s Southern hospitality and sunshine. Oh, and the pancake machine was broken but I was a little grateful as I enjoyed one of their fantastic cinnamon rolls. The coffee is good which is always important to us. I personally would like more sweetener options.
After I ate I was able to talk to the manager, Tommy, who immediately comped the extra room and was very nice, as was all his staff who we encountered.
This hotel is so close to the hospital and Charleston Southern U. It’s convenient to everywhere we wanted to go (just jumping on the highway nearby).
I was unable to find a Hilton in our app with as good a review, Marriott isn’t any better, so this hotel is definitely a great little hidden gem.
Awesome hotel and Super Clean!! Not to mention the complimentary breakfast. I’d give it 10 stars if I could the best thing about this Hotel is the Staff everyone is so kind and welcoming. Definitely will be staying here again soon! Location is perfect by tons of shops and restaurants not to mention Tanger Outlets!
We stayed here for one night on our way back to NJ during a 2 week road trip. The room was a great size, clean, and water pressure was perfect! We were thankful that the room was large and we were away from the door as there was a large group of adults staying at the hotel and they were very loud in the halls. ||||Downsides: breakfast was not good - most items were called or watery. Not sure if it is a dog friendly hotel, but there was definitely poop of some kind in the elevator and smeared throughout the lower lobby.
Room was fine and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was really good.
Housekeeping was very lacking. I stayed three nights. After first night, left us only bath towels, no wash clothes or hand towels. No big deal, I went to the front desk and got them. After night two, we left at 9am and came back about 3pm and our room had not been touched. I could care less if my bed is made, but once again, I had to go to the front desk for all of the towels this time. The lady at the desk tried to tell me that they don't come in the room unless we request. I tried to explain that the refresh was not done. I don't think she understood what I was saying. So the trash was left overflowing and there are a two days of soiled towels left behind.
This was a pit stop on the way to a cruise and turned out to be a hidden gem. My room was immaculate, staff was extremely helpful, breakfast was good, even had a complimentary happy hour! And the Dove products in the bathroom were icing on the cake. Not one complaint!
Food was as usual not that good. Wish they would take more pride in serving their guest. Our toilet was also with no water and nobody could fix it until we had to check out. Had to use bathroom downstairs each time for out 3 guest. Very inconvenient. The clerk also didn't have anything to help or info to get some help, seemed not to know much and there was no manager around or higher person to accommodate us.
This is your cookie cutter Holiday Inn. It was clean and in good condition. It didn’t interact with staff much so no real feedback for that.
Room was clean and did not smell musty like some I have been in. A/C unit was clean and air was clean smelling from it.
Breakfast is the typical breakfast you get there, so nothing special to talk about.
For as busy as it was, it was very quiet as well. Only an occasional door slam and I heard no yelling in the hallway here.
Positive: Friendly staff, cleanliness, hot breakfast is from 630a-930a..they served egg n cheese omelets,bacon,sausage,oatmeal,..bagels,warm cinnamon buns,cereal,yogurt,coffee,juices..pool was nice but needs to be maintained as far as bugs.but was empty which is good Negative: Location.20min drive to downtown where all the history is at.35 min drive to Folly Beach.I always read reviews when staying in hotels and booked this one which was way over my budget becuz of its cleanliness but there was a live roach on my bathroom floor

Upon check-in, I discovered that my reservation had been changed to a King room, despite needing two double beds. However, the desk clerk went above and beyond to promptly resolve the issue. What impressed me the most was her attention to detail, as
Such a nice hotel for the price. Very modern, very clean and upscale details. The staff was also so wonderful. If you are attending an event at the North Charleston coliseum, this is the perfect spot and itâs right next door.
The whole staff was excellent and very accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was most delightful. I am handicapped and so was my daughter and they helped us so much. The room was really and comfortable. The breakfast bar
We loved the hotel. It smelled clean, and it was visibly clean. The desk personnel and the young lady working in the breakfast area were very nice and polite. As far as location, it was easy to get to. Our only real complaint was that the beds and pi
Had a great time watching the guys throw axes at Blade & Bull in Park Circle area of N. Charleston. Staff was nice and helpful getting them going. They had a bar and then seating in the axe throwing area to watch your group as well. Closed toe shoes
