This hotel is very low below standard. I can not understand why Holiday Inn lends its name to this place. It all starts with the crappy internet connection in the evening. The carpet of our room was moist (first time I experienced that in 35 years of traveling) it smelled like mold. When was the last time fresh air was allowed in this room? The lamp shade next to my bed was broken, as was the drawer of the night stand it was placed upon. The bathroom - which lacked enough towels - looked like before 1980; I've seen so much better in decent old motels on byways. Breakfast was almost non-existing. No proteïne like bacon, no pancakes (machine was off and empty) no cranberry juice. I feel like they want the maximum price for minimum effort. This place needs a very thorough deep cleaning and a secret Holiday Inn inspector guest every week. DO NOT believe any 5 star review you will find online with Google search. Skip this one and go to any nearby hotel or motel and you'll be fine.

The IHG and Google reviews for this hotel are far from accurate. This hotel, while looking decent upon walking in, was one of the dirtiest I've ever stayed in. Upkeep is an issue here. ||Taking the elevator up to the 2nd floor, you are greeted with scuffed up, dirty walls, room doors, and a filthy carpet with visible debris. When you enter your room, you are hit with stale moldy air and a funky smell that just does not leave the room. Furnishings are old, ripped, dirty, missing pieces, or broken. The carpet feels grimy on bare feet. The curtains in one of our rooms had brown water stains on them, the shower head had limescale so the water was trickling out when you showered, and the bathroom sink area had an odd smell. The kids used the pool and they complained about how it smelled really bad - there was visible mold in the drains surrounding the pool. Breakfast in the morning was what you'd expect from a budget hotel, but I don't think it gets refilled if food runs out before the designated time is over, so be sure to eat early. ||It should be noted that the staff we encountered were all very nice and accommodating. We were given a new room when our AC was not functioning and when we requested more towels we were given as many as we wanted. ||This hotel is in desperate needs of a repairs and management needs to do something about maintaining cleanliness!

Stay clear of this hotel until numerous upgrades are done! Carpets were stained/filthy and in dire need to replacement throughout the hallways to get to our room. The room carpets had been updated more recently & were satisfactory. Also, the need for paint to be touched up in places would be nice , as well as replacing rusty light fixtures in the bathroom. The room itself seemed clean, but the bed was really hard/uncomfortable. Shower was very disappointing! Zero pressure - just a light sprinkling! The breakfast was adequate and everyone we came in contact with was friendly. IHG needs to make a visit, as it's definitely not up to their standards. We've stayed at numerous IHG Holiday Inns and this is by far the worst we've encountered.

Front desk guy was cool is the only positive thing I can say. Walking down the hallways to the room, all I could think is - I sure hope the rooms are cleaner. Unfortunately, both were disgusting. Whelp, time to take the kids to the pool...you walk in and it smells like it's not chlorinated or someone pooped in the corner. I've stayed in cleaner hotels for $60. I spent $175 here for one night and I can promise I won't be back.

Positive: They were friendly. Pool was very nice. Negative: The hallway carpet full of dirt and stains. The room doors all have dirt marks and finger stains all over them. Curtains had rips. Hot tub barely warm, rust and stains on air vents. Overall just dirty. Not Holiday Inn Express quality.

I always stayed in holiday inn express when I visited Carlisle PA. Room was clean and comfortable. TV was working good with alot off channels. Breakfast was good and tasty. That was wondering for me that they have 4 types of eggs. Front Desk staff very friendly and. Cooperative.

My room had an unpleasant odor. The ice machine wasn't working. The phone had the wrong room number on it. There were rings in both the toilet and around the shower drain. Breakfast was great, as always. The gentleman who checked me in was super accommodating.

Only place A/C worked was at front desk. Hallways were disgusting. Carpet needed shampooed. Room bathroom was terrible. Sink was cracked and bathroom was dirty. Beds were ok. Carpet needed cleaned at bare minimum but better to just replace. Pool was freezing cold and hot tub was piss warm. Afraid to use elevator because I feared it would breakdown. Breakfast was less than adequate. For the price, I expected something decent. I would have been better off staying at a Motel 6! Holiday Inn is our go to hotel for any trip we take, but I would never recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone!!! It was disgusting and if I could give it a negative rating I would. Holiday Inn should be ashamed to have their name on this hotel.
