Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo Downtown - Medical Ctr, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Buffalo - 601 Main St, USA

I’ve stayed at many IHG locations and this one does not live up to the standard. When we were checking in, we heard a pilot say there are so many nicer places to stay in Buffalo then this hotel and man was be right. We had so many issues. Our room was NOT clean. Hairs all over the tub and even things like earring backings on the counters. Why ask for another room if that’s the standard of “clean?!” So I did it myself since we were here for 4 nights. I was not recognized as a Platinum Elite member and when I inquired about my welcome points.. I was told I don’t get them til the end of my stay. Kinda defeats the purpose of “welcome” points, right? And you do indeed get them at check in or a complimentary snack/drink.. but I had to call customer service to receive. They have ZERO concern for security. You can walk up and say you lost a key for any room and they will just give you one. Multiple members of our party never had to show ID (our keys never worked half the time). On our last day, they completely ran out of breakfast food by the time we went down.. not even bread for toast. We had kids in our group so that was disappointing. Other members of our party had issues with their reservation (added another night at check in but when we came back to hotel was told otherwise). Disappointing customer service and experience all around. I actually feel bad choosing this location for our family. The only plus to this experience was the hotels location.

Service could improve. The night shift at the reception is very friendly and nice unlike morning. Security could improve i have been able to activate my room key without presenting ID nor i was asked about the name. Our room didn't have curtains and there was leakage in the bathroom. I am very loyal customer of IHG but really surprised of the standard in here.

The front desk staff member who checked us in was lovely to deal with, our room however was full of issues. The televisions did not work, all the blinds were controlled via switches and remotes that also did not work, the lighting in the main area did not function, and one of our "clean" towels was stained and unusable. When we checked out there was no one to talk to about these issues, and the only staff member in sight was busy cleaning on the other side of the lobby and just kept repeating "put the key cards in the box". Save your money and book elsewhere, while it's a central location the room and hotel itself are definitely not worth what the rates are. We will not be staying here again.

Two thumbs up!! Rooms were large and clean, beds were comfortable. Window shades did an outstanding job keeping out the light. The staff was friendly and courteous. I will definitely go back.

The service here is amazing. Berrine greeted us at the desk and was extremely warm and kind to us. We saw her dealing with some extremely rude and difficult guests, and she kept her composure and professionalism throughout the entire situation. She went above and beyond not just for us, but for any guest that needed help! We ran into a bit of a technical problem with our room (the TVs stopped working). Again, Berrine was on the problem right away and sent up Byron, another worker that went above and beyond for us. Once he found out that our TVs would not be repairable, he worked with Berrine to find us an adequate room and helped us relocate everything. Byron was extremely kind, funny, and made light of the situation with us which only added to the enjoyable experience and stay we had here. When we come back to buffalo, we will no doubt be staying here again! Thanks to the incredible team at Holiday Inn for taking care of all of our questions and concerns, and having such comfortable and spacious rooms!

Finding this well located Buffalo hotel via Tripadvisor I booked it for one night. However, when I arrived at the approved checkin in time, late afternoon, I couldn't even drive up to the lobby door. There were a few Holiday Inn airport vans parked and taking up the few reserved hotel spaces. When I found a temporary spot on the street, I went in to checkin and was told that there is no parking option for guests. No parking lots, no garages and no suggestions. I had to scramble to find an alternative location for the night. Tripadvisor and other booking sites to not highlight this disturbing omission in service.

The first night was great, Lesley (Leslie) was at the front desk and we got in late around midnight with our child. They have no parking on site, and parking is 2 blocks away. I called and asked if the shuttle could pick us up since our kid had fallen asleep. She was very helpful and sent the shuttle. We were grateful and tipped the driver. The remainder of the stay was not as great because the front desk people were friendly but a few of the guys were loud and unprofessional. (Lots of vulgar language, playing and horsing around). I came down for breakfast one morning to a shouting match between the guy at the front and a young kid who might have snuck in for free breakfast. Clean and secure stay! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Not hotels fault but the Buffalo Riders (as I call them), hotshots with loud cars/bikes roamed the streets some on a Wednesday night. Not big on city living, but would stay here again!
