Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (410)
This hotel was great as we quickly passed through on our way to Yellowstone. We got upgraded to a suite since we are loyalty members. Room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, roomy and you can tell it was recently renovated with a modern design. Laundry facilities on-site were great as well and could be used with quarters or an app. On-site morning breakfast had great variety and staff were very friendly.
Nice newly updated (2024) Holiday Inn Express. Clean rooms, nice large TV. Pool and hot tub were nice enough. Breakfast was standard fare but setup well. Overall a good example of Holiday inn Express and while not usually cheap, we usually prefer for family trips to have the best chance at a good clean room.
Second time staying here. So nice we extended through the weekend. Guy at check in was absolutely amazing and even put us in a quieter corner room on the top floor. Traveling 24/7 it is much appreciated. Room was super clean and even had a nice couch. Breakfast is amazing with cinnamon rolls and tons of options. Parking is great with plenty of room for our truck and trailer. Thanks so much for a great stay. Definitely recommend and will indeed stay again!!!
I would give a 0 starts if possible. There is no sound dampening between floors or walls. Not peaceful, every time the ones above me walked the entire ceiling creaked! I made a reservation over 4 weeks ago. I called to ask if there was a door between the bedroom and sitting room. I was told there was and I booked the room over the phone. Came to check in and waited in a long line as there was only one worker checking people in, despite another worker smiling and peaking out behind the wall multiple times. Went to the room to find out it did not have a door, only a 4 foot wall that stuck out 18 inches from the wall. I went to speak with the gentleman at the front desk. I got in line, I was told I needed get out of line when I got to the counter. Only after the lobby was entirely clear was I able to go back to the counter. I explained what I had booked and showed the website. I was told what I was seeing and describing actually the executive suite. I asked to switch rooms to a basic room since that is not what I was told when I booked the room over the phone. I was told the entire hotel was booked. As I walked away another customer walked in and did not have a reservation but was able to get a room. Poor customer service and being lied too. We will never be back.
A few really dumb things made what might have been a nice stay more average. The beds are fine, as was the bathroom. The heating/cooling system was somewhat poor, and stuck at 65 so we had to turn the thing off. Fine at this time of year but maybe a problem elsewhere. TV lacked some channels due to a contract dispute, and breakfast had a few things like the juice dispenser not working. They got the basics right here, but room for improvement is obvious.
This place was great! I only have one issue and it was the ghost that opened my dresser drawer. I went into the shower came out the drawers opened. I closed the drawers and turned to pick up socks in my suit case, and when I looked to my right the drawer had opened again without a sound. I then closed the drawers again. I sat down on the couch to put my socks on and I was looking at the dresser and the drawers opened as I watched the slowly pulled out as if someone grabbed the hardware and slowly opened then straight out. I walked between the drawers and the end of the bed and felt nauseous going through to the window and then back through the same spot and it hit me again. That was enough! I grabbed my bag and left! The people on staff said they hadn't had anything like that from my room before but another room in the hotel and said they don't rent it unless they are full. Kinda cool! :)
I booked This room in through the call Center. My only real requirement was a hot tub. Upon use of the pool area we were greeted with heavy chemical smelling smoke. The kind that burned your eyes and lungs. I brought it to the attention of staff and after opening the windows and doors for an hour they told us the boiler over heated. Surprisingly the hut tub was just kind of worm. Upon checkout I was polite a mentioned the evenings issued to the front desk staff. The response was “I hope you have a better stay next time”. This was a serous safe and health issue and not second thought was given. Be safe and cautious this is dangerous
My husband and I stayed here while driving through the area. The hotel is conveniently located just off the interstate and is overall a very clean, reasonably priced hotel with pleasant staff and a decent breakfast included. Highly recommend.
