Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo-Airport, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (764)
Nice hotel right near the airport. My family stayed for two nights before heading to Niagara. The pool was small but nice, no hot tub.
We utilized the free airport shuttle and when we got in our room was ready early which was a great surprise. Check-in staff was friendly enough.
My only complaint was the breakfast. Both days we arrived early and struggled to get basic food items to create a complete breakfast. Eggs kept running out, milk, muffins, no forks, pancake machine was broken consistently. You could find a few food items but the rest would be empty, then as one thing was filled up, something else would be gone. Very disappointing.
1. EXTREMELY rude, unfriendly front desk staff: a.) The pool/hot tub were out of order, and I was really disappointed because I'd specifically booked a place with those amenities. The woman checking us in didn't even acknowledge or apologize at all. Just very brusquely gave us our room keys without any pleasantries. b.) We stayed only one night, and never had any plans to stay longer. At 8:30am on the day we were leaving the front desk called my room. I answered and the man said "are you staying another night?" I was confused but said "no, we only booked for the one night's stay." He said "ok" and hung up on me. c.) Then when we checked out he asked what rooms and said "ok you can go." I said I'd like a receipt, he said, "can't I just email it to you?" But by then I didn't feel particularly like trusting the front desk folks, so I said "no I'd like it before we leave." He rolled his eyes. As he was preparing it at the computer he took a deep sigh and put his hands together like he was praying for patience... So, trying to be friendly, I said smiled and said, "deep breath, it's ok" (thinking he seemed really stressed out). He got pissed off at me and said "why would I need that?!" I said, "oh, well because you sighed and did your hands like this." He rolled his eyes again, didn't say anything else to me, finished printing my paperwork, and threw it on the counter. d.) As we were walking out he got on his cell phone and SCREAMED into it that he's been "working at hotels for 9 years and he doesn't understand why..." and I missed the rest because I was OUT the door to get away from him. 2. All of that stuff is my real complaint, but honestly the hotel was also not nice at all. Everything was dirty - like some kind of substance dripping in the elevator, baseboards all dirty looking, and the material on the desk chair in the room was peeling off. 3. The ONLY good thing was that the staff in the dining area were wonderful - friendly and helpful.
This hotel was the perfect location for us to fly out early the next morning. However the hotel was old and dated, especially the carpet. This was our third holiday inn of the trip and this bed was the least comfortable. The front desk lady was not polite when we checked in. Then our cable went out and when I called her the only thing she told me was “unplug it and plug it back in.” It was OK at best.
Very close to the airport, the shuttle takes only about 5 minutes. The driver we had was a very cool guy, 5 stars for him.
The room was quiet and clean, but the mattress made me sore. The AC was clicking and clacking all night, trying to keep the room cool with one single vent. The bathroom was dated and a bit creepy. There was mold along the bottom of the shower, but the water was nice and hot with good water pressure (not too much, not too little). The toilet area looked like someone had puked in there a long time ago, and it was still stuck in the grout next to the toilet and on the wall.
The complimentary breakfast is basic, with the typical omelet, sausage patties, bacon, and bagels. The pancake machine took forever. The coffee is nasty. The staff was moving at half speed to clean up and make more food, with guests hovering around the food areas like hungry vultures in a hurry. In their defense, there were a lot of kids there, and they do make messes.
It's difficult to accurately rate a place with one stay, but this is what I witnessed.
Overall, I've stayed in much better airport hotels, for the same price, but I've stayed in worse, but only one or two.
It's convenient, but don't expect much. It's not your typical Holiday Inn Express. It's worse. Choose a different Holiday Inn Express, Buffalo isn't a big place.
My coworkers and I travel for work so we stay in hotels often. We ended up at this location because our job site was 15 minutes away from this hotel. Once we got checked in and everything it comes to find out our room was filthy there were plenty of dirty clothes on the side of the on one of the beds. Finding this we decided to check our beds to find out that the sheets were filthy covered in hair, makeup, and other bodily fluids. Come to find out most of our room was just filthy. My coworker and I could have just looked by everything else but all we wanted was new bedding for our beds and the matter would have been resolved. We asked the front desk to change our sheets and he refused and told us he didn't know how to change sheets and proceeded to tell us to do it. This set my coworker and my boss off where I pretty much slept out in my truck in front of a hotel well past 2:30am. Dereck the front desk person was clueless even when my coworker had their corporate office calling him. I just don't want anyone to go through what I had to go through last week and my coworkers and I were not the only people having issues that night as well. Just stay somewhere else and stay far away from this holiday inn.
The rooms were comfy and spacious, the beds are amazing and there are many smaller amenities that you can use to make your stay better. The service was mostly good, but some of the front desk workers and the lady in the kitchen were mean in some cases, but nothing too big. The hotel is a bit far from downtown but very close to the airport and there are many restaurants nearby which allow you to eat something fast.
The location was good. The distance to Niagara Falls is very good. The service okay. The room was clean but a bulb was blown in one of the lamps & the door lock of the bathroom was broken. The front desk was informed & we were t
old it would be fixed but nothing was done. We had 2 rooms, both with broken bathroom locks . We only had rooms for one night & nothing was fixed. The breakfast was okay.
It was a good and pleasant experience for my family, stayed here to watch the eclipse. |All employees were very friendly, I request a microwave for my room and they happily got me one. Annie in the food was the best! Breakfast was really good and the room was clean, no complains! If you are looking for a quiet place this is not for you since you have the airport right across from the Hotel, we were really tired so we didn’t mind!! Will stay here again!

We had a wonderful time. All of the staff except one young lady at the front desk on Monday morning were wonderful. The breakfast cook did an amazing job. He really made our day with his fun loving attitude. Michelle at front desk was so nice, and
Best hotel I have stayed at recently! Modern, clean and very comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet with omelettes and bacon as well as other offerings.Victor who checked me in was the best! Friendly and courteous even while handling a difficult guest. N
A lot of trails that are well maintained. Restrooms available that are not just port-o-pottyâs. Plenty of parking in many areas where different trails start
First time at rock burger, always have drove passed & never gave it a try- so glad we came in, the food was yummy! Onion rings were a bit over cooked but Iâd rather it be that than undercooked & soggy , wings were good, didnât like the ranch much
No fuss, casual pizza joint that is family run. I've been going here for 5 years and I just realized after my most recent order that they have never gotten my order incorrect. Not once that I can remember. Food is reasonably priced with taxes include
A friend of mine and I enjoyed lunch at Chester's. He's wheelchair bound and initially we thought we wouldn't have access but the amazing waitress took out the ramp, installed it within a minute and had a table ready for us. We weren't too sure if th
