Holiday Inn Express & Suites Brunswick, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (283)
A nice, newer Holiday Inn Express in Brunswick. Tried it for the first time after staying at multiple hotels in the area in the past. This one had the best breakfast for sure. Newer hotel, so rooms were great. The best part is how the furniture package / closest are specifically catered to guest convenience. Scent in the lobby was amazing as well. Overall - great stay.
Stayed here while traveling and a long day of driving. We booked it in the morning. At arrival past the check in time a room was not ready and we overheard them tell others the same as they came in. Waited an hour past check in time. They have a tiny pool with two lounge chairs. Room was fine bed slept great plenty of towels. Light in the Bathroom did not work and the bathroom door was stuck, would not close at all. Keurig in room with only decaf pods. Downstairs they had plenty of coffee but no cream, half in half , etc. breakfast was decent but pancake machine was being fixed . Sweet lady fixed it offered me a pancake but admitted they had no syrup. For $168 I expect much better than this. One and done
Positive: The staff was AMAZING! ? especially the young lady at the front desk, the cleaning ladies in the bedrooms and the all the ladies in the breakfast area was very helpful, nice and genuinely care about your questions. Great job! Negative: ""
My family of 5 stopped here as our halfway point from North Carolina to Florida. Overall, it was an ok stay, breakfast was complimentary and average. The outdoor pool area was clean but the bathroom in the pool area was disgusting. The gym was large and clean. Our room had fruit loops on the floor which indicates poor vacuuming. The flushing of toilets was hit or miss, sometimes they flushed, sometimes they did not. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The room was 78 degrees when we entered but cooled down once adjusted. Right off of 95 so convenient for traveling.
I chose to stay at this hotel because in the past, I have had a great experience with this chain at other locations. However, due to the absolutely horrible experience that I had at this location, I will never use this chain again. I paid close to $160 to stay at this hotel. I booked my reservation through Southwest Travel, and this hotel was recommended by them as a partner. When I checked in, they had assigned me to a room on the first floor, I asked for an upper level room because I wanted peace and quiet. They said that they didn't have any more rooms available. I proceeded to the room and then heard a dog barking loudly across from my room. I love animals, but I expected to get a good night's rest and knew that wouldn't be possible with a dog barking. I went back to the front desk and insisted that they give me another room or cancel my reservation and give me a full refund. They said I would have to call Southwest and request my money from them. The lady at the desk was a new employee, so she contacted a manager to help her cancel the reservation. The manager told her someone would come over from the sister hotel, another Holiday Inn, which was about a block down the road. And I should wait. I sat down, and while waiting, 4 people checked in and were assigned rooms in upper level floors. I asked the lady at the desk why I couldn't be assigned to an upper level room. And she said they had no more rooms. However, when I looked online, they were still accepting reservations. I waited in the lobby for the problem to be resolved. As I was searching on my phone for another hotel, the police walked into the lobby as they were called for a disturbance. Little did I know, they had lied to me when they told me to wait for a manager to come help resolve the situation with my room. I was flabbergasted and appalled that they would do this because I did never raise my voice, nor did I have a threatening demeanor. Then a manager called the front desk and told the lady they found me a room at the Fairfield Inn, which is another hotel next to them. I ended up staying at this 2-star hotel, not by choice. AND now they don't want to give me a refund for this high-priced room that I never stood in. Based on this totally horrible experience, I would never recommend this hotel.
We have stayed at this Holiday Inn for the past 15 years on our way to Florida. We have always looked forward to arriving at the hotel and enjoyed our stay. This last time, when we arrived at our room the lock on the door was defective. The reception staff were very good in alerting the maintenance person. While the maintenance person could not repair the lock, he did find a temporary solution which we did appreciate. Still, this did not make us feel safe in the room. We found that the cleanliness of the bathroom and in particular the shower rather lacking. It seems that this hotel is not on top of maintenance and cleanliness issues. One can only hope that such matters will be remedied quickly.
Stayed here on our drive back to FL. Elijah checked us in & was extremely friendly & helpful. Got us in a room quickly with the best price available comparing my IHG & AAA memberships. The room was clean & the bed comfy. The lady who was running the complimentary breakfast in the morning was also friendly. It is located conveniently off the highway amongst many other options. There are both Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express near eachother. The Holiday Inn Express seemed newer. We usually have good luck at Holiday Inn Express locations.
Our stay at Holiday Inn Express, room 308, was satisfactory overall. The location near the interstate was convenient for our journey to a wedding, and the price was reasonable for a halfway point stop. However, there was an issue with the bathroom door that wouldn't fully shut due to it being off the jam. While we forgot to mention it to the front desk, we would have expected the staff to notice and address it, possibly informing maintenance. Despite this minor inconvenience, our stay was decent, but attention to detail could be improved.

My family stayed here on our way down to Florida. Hotel is right off I-95 and close to many restaurants. My kids loved the indoor pool. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. Service at the desk was fantastic! We will be back in March.
I recently enjoyed a stellar stay at the Hilton Garden in Brunswick, Georgia. The hotel's impressive size, coupled with beautifully designed and spacious rooms, exceeded my expectations. The modern amenities and overall freshness of the establishment
Amazing wraps for the price! We got breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our trip to Cumberland Island! So many options that we were able to create 3 different meals. Very easy to order online and not a crazy long wait.
I have been coming to Daddy Cates for over 10 years! It is still my favorite Cafe. Dee Dee is the sweetest host !! You must go by and try it out ! The Chilli Dogs are AWESOME!
