Holiday Inn Express & Suites Brookshire - Katy Freeway, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (314)
The room we stayed in was run down, full of smudge all over the walls, and we regretted staying. The AC was quite loud and kept us waking up. I kept thinking, "But this is Holiday Inn Express!" Sounds like a mild nightmare? This has to be close to the worst Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in the past 30 years, no joke. Breakfast was ok, but we feel that most, if not all, Holiday Inn Express hotels have cut costs in breakfast by serving rubbery omelets, cheap sugary yogurt, and industrial bagels. Anyway, I will not be staying in this particular location. I hope the management will make serious changes.
I had a room booked and reserved 7/7 through 7/14. The storm knocked out the power and closed the hotel which I completely understand. However, when the hotel got power back they did not honor existing reservations and canceled everyone and proceeded to rebook their rooms.
I contacted the relations team with IHG regarding this and no solution was provided. They said my reservation was still in the system but they couldn’t get ahold of the hotel. They never followed up with me like they said they would.
I’ve given a ton of money to this chain the last 10 years and I will do my best to avoid ever staying with an IHG hotel in the future
Getting to the place can be quite the hassle. Right next to the freeway so all night you hear big trucks rolling by and it's very loud, the other guests that stay here are not very respectful when it comes to nighttime hours. The complimentary breakfast was good. The wifi at this place is pretty trash. They really need to upgrade if they're wanting to stay open in 2024. The rooms I stayed in was nice and not outdated or run down. Employees are pretty chill. There are no security cameras outside so better to secure your stuff before leaving your vehicle for the night.
I had a quick turnaround business trip and booked this hotel last minute. The room was disgusting. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom and a pair of dirty socks behind the bathroom door. The carpet was dirty and there were bugs and even fingernail clippings. There was also food pieces and crumbs everywhere. Do not stay here if you like clean room! The next morning went down for breakfast only to find that they didn’t have the signature cinnamon rolls and the pancake machine was broken. The food they did have was barely edible.
Mrs . Antoinette the manager there on the property was extremely kind an went out of her way to .make sure my stay was care free.
The property is always clean an well kept ; Breakfast is amazing. Love y'all so much thanks a million ❤️❤️❤️
Probably the worst bathroom I have experienced post covid the manager comped my room but other issues I have is the showers. There was still black mold after they finally cleaned it
hotels don't pay enough for house keeping to get on their knees to properly clean showers. So all of the floors look nasty also they don't check for hair usually find a couple more than a couple here...
Lots to be desired about this location. Room was comfortable. Shower was good. Breakfast was good, although the pancake machine was out of service. Scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, biscuits and gravy, sausage and bacon etc.
We chose to stay at this location because the other Holiday Inn locations closer to where we had business the following day were already fully booked.
Thankfully it was only for one night as our overall experience was not great.
Due to construction in the area it is very difficult to get to the hotel.
There were also concerns regarding the overall security of the parking area due to the areas next to it.
While the room was clean enough, there were definite signs of age throughout the hotel. This is especially true in the workout room as can be seen in the attached photos.
Had we been aware of the condition of this location and the issues making it complicated to reach, we would have chosen to stay at another location.
Sadly, we can't recommend this location.

Menu is easy to read. Would HIGHLY recommend any of their "Heavily Fruited Sours" which are more like smoothies, delicious. The weather was great and their patio had a good vibe.

We just stopped by to buy some Salvadorean bread. We were not disappointed. The bread was delicious. Next time, I'm gonna try the Pupusas and the Salvadorean breakfast.
