Holiday Inn Express & Suites Biloxi- Ocean Springs, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Ocean Springs - 7301 Washington Ave, USA

Got a suite. Floor is gross and not vacuumed. Stains everywhere. Couch full of stains. Sticky residue from spilled drinks left on desk and nightstand. Shower was dirty. Bed quilt smelled like it wasn't washed for quite a while. AC making a high pitched whining. Ripped up curtains and bed spreads. I'm getting tired of run down Holiday Inn Expresses. They had a history of maintaining at least a mediocre level of quality and now they've turned into another slummy hit or miss chain.

A reasonable room and hotel. The room has the more modern IHG look but doesn't seem to get consistent upkeep on little issues. The toilet seemed to always be running and the water pressure in the shower was kinda weak. Had a single stained towel and no dirty laundry bags. There was also a very slight smell of cigarette in the elevator. But for a one night stop it was good. Front desk lady was super nice.

The location of the hotel is good since it's a short distance off of I-10. However the actual location of the hotel is wedged amongst a row of hotels. This hotel doesn't have adquate parking spaces and they are tight and not good visibility from the hotel rooms. The elevator may need servicing. It was very slow and needs cleaning. Floors had not been swept and dirty. The elevator needs a good cleaning as well on the doors and knobs. The breakfast was usual for this restaurant chain, but counter areas were not as clean with limited tables as it had more high tops or bar height eating areas.

Clean room, nice bedding. Somewhat lumpy pillows and soft mattress. Kind, helpful front desk staff. Loud a/c heater fan. Rough scratchy towels. Renovated interior. A few oversights. Paint and dirt on bathroom light switches. Typical uncomfortable, stiff back chais lounge and lumpy sofa. Fridge has no freezer but needed defrosting. Back wall was coated in ice. I couldn’t move a shelf up because it was frozen in place. Alarm clock was blinking and couldn’t be reset. It said low battery despite being plugged in. Breakfast was a disaster. Not even close to usual IHG standards. Second day was slightly better. Out of coffee, cold yucky decaf, out of scrambled eggs, 3 cold omelettes left. No staff to refresh. Front desk staff went to get coffee when she couldn’t locate the breakfast staff. Kids passing by said the pool was cold.

The first room we got when we checked in smelledike formaldehyde and the AC wasn't working right (not cooling the room). We asked for a different room and this room had AC that works, but the room smelled like wet dog. The shower had little to no water pressure and when you touched the faucet to turn water on and start tge shower, the entire plumbing fixture would shake bad enough you'd think a burst pipe was about to happen!||Breakfast was a joke. They ran out of sausage in the first hour (0700-1000) and didn't bother to put more sausage out! The coffee tasted like dishwater and had grounds in it, and even then, when it ran out, you had to practically beg for more coffee! The eggs were fairly edible but the "omelets" tasted like salty cardboard. ||Couple all that with an elevator that was so painfully slow, guests were taking the stairs to carry their luggage up to their rooms. The building itself looks dilapidated and in dire need of a renovation. ||Other HIEs I've stayed are rather nice, but this one has pretty much killed any desire I might have to stay im a HIE ever again. HUGE LETDOWN.

Positive: Price room and location Negative: Yes. Staff from manager to housekeeping very very rude. They do not greet their guest with a smile or a hello. Manager walked past my family and myself not once but several times as we sat in the lobby and never acknowledged us at all.

Positive: After having bad experience from Holiday Inn in Houston, this is way better Holiday Inn. Once you enter you can tell the Hotel is maintained really well. Smells good, good hot breakfast menus, very kind staff. I recommend this hotel to everybody. Negative: "" Negative: ""

Smells like people are frequently smoking cigarettes in adjacent rooms. For some reason, the audio in the TV does not sync up with the visual picture and makes it annoying to watch. The pool was drained for maintenance and it seems like there isn't adequate parking when the hotel is full.
