Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bessemer, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Bessemer - 5001 Academy Ln, USA

Staff is super nice. Was having trouble getting in the pool with my 4 year old who was excited to go swimming on vacation. Front desk lady went out her way to get a hold of the maintenance guys to let us in. Rooms clean and breakfast was great, with the fresh pancake maker. Warmest in door pool I've ever been in!

We stayed here Saturday night (7/1). The staff was great and helpful. The room was nice. I was unable to take my kids to the indoor pool because older kids were in playing rough football in the shallow end. There wasn't a lot of channels on the TV to choose from. The halls and stairways smelled like weed. The breakfast was nice. The location was convenient for our weekend plans. It was ok for a one night stay, not sure we'd stay again though.

This was so perfect. Beds were comfortable rooms were clean and halls were quiet. I just didnt like that there were larger bottles of bodywash, shampoo & conditioner on the wall in the showers. I would rather have the small single stuff. I bring my own but just the thought of using what everyone else was is gross.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I will do it when it's necessary. In this case it's necessary. We paid around $200 for 1 night and got an extremely smokey room. The pull out bed was broken and had blood stains under the mattress. We promptly told staff and the response was to the effect of zero care at all. The place needs to be shutdown. Don't stay here.

Room was clean, beds comfy. Breakfast lady Gina makes your hotel. That wonderful women greeted everyone that came in the breakfast room and made sure everyone had what they needed, if they didn't have something. She went above and beyond to try to make it happen. Gina knows customers service. Gina deserves a raise

We checking in with a very friendly clerk (Mrs. LaTanya) She was very sweet. Went to dinner at Milo's and unfortunately when we returned the power was off due to an accident. Latanya took time to explain to everyone the situation and informed us with information of restoration when she received it. We were able to use the indoor pool however it was extremely COLD. Beds where very soft. They had body was and 2 thinks of conditioner in the shower. No dirty laundry bags but was able to ask for some. Breakfast was just okay but was nice to have the option.

I just needed a room to sleep in for the night to attend my father's funeral the next day. I walked into a room that smelled of mildew soiled/stained seats and roaches under the cabinet....needless to say I slept on top of the covers in my same clothes and prayed nothing bit me....definitely not interested in a dang "free" breakfast......all for 122.55. Wow

My stay last night was wonderful. The room was extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. The ladies working the front desk were very friendly. Also the lady overseeing our breakfast was amazing and so helpful. Location was perfect , only a slight detour from the interstate. 100% recommend a stay with them. Thanks for the fantastic stay!
