Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta-Cumming, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Cumming - 870 Buford Hwy, USA

We stayed here for two nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We found that the shower had good water pressure. The only negative of the room was that the bathtub was slippery (the hotel should look into putting in standard anti-slip coating in it). The walls were a little thin in that we could hear people that weren't being very noisy in the hallways. The location was perfect for what we needed and was right off the highway. There was plentiful parking. The staff we interacted with were very friendly. We needed to park a vehicle in trailer in the parking lot, so parked right in front. Parking lot is tight. Room was spacious and comfortable.

The rooms were on par for the brand. They offer breakfast with your stay. Great for grabbing a piece of fruit and yogurt on the way out each morning. As usual these rooms can never seem to get the temp right. It’s on and you freeze and then after sweating for a while the freeze kicks back on. For the most part this location was quiet. It’s right off GA 400 for travelers.

The elevator inspection is expired and creeps me out a bit. The hallways are a little outdated, but the rooms are nice. The bathrooms are the more updated. However, they do not offer an actual business center with computers for guest in a more private location. It's right upfront in the dining hall in view of everyone near the front desk. Also, the dining hall is smaller compared to other Holiday inn's I have stayed at or any IHG hotels.

Positive: The locatation/breakfast was good. Negative: I picked this h0tel for Having a pool,free breakfast. When I arrived they said the pool was closed (no notice of closure) the breakfast was good.We also had to maneuver around the people painting and they had dust drop sheets right off the elevator.

We just had the most horrendous experience at this “hotel”. We booked 2 rooms for our family of 6. We were reassured they would be next to each other. When we arrived, they said they were full and only had 2 rooms on separate floors from our kids. The hotel was outdated, had wet paint signs everywhere, the elevator inspection was expired by 2 years, the blinds in the room didn’t work. We immediately found another hotel and they had the nerve to not waive the penalty. This should be illegal.

Easy to find. We found the room to be very clean. The indoor pool was nice and warm. Breakfast offered Cinnamon Rolls both mornings of our stay. Enjoyed the cranberry juice for a change of pace. Quiet despite being on the first floor.

Beautiful room with all the amenities including a coffee maker in the room with coffees and teas. When we arrived home many hours later I realized my daughter had left her 500$ retainers in the room! We emailed and called the next morning and we received a message back in email and a phone call reporting house keeping had picked the retainers up and they would gladly ship them to us! What fantastic customer service and kindness! Definitely will stay again!
