Holiday Inn Express & Suites Asheville Downtown, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Asheville - 42 Tunnel Rd, USA

We had a great time at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and I loved the chaise lounge chair. Everything was very clean, the staff was amazing and interreacted with us and our 3 year old. There were lots of choices for breakfast and there were "takeout" bags which we used to grab a few things for the picky toddler later. The kids pool was very entertaining, I loved that it was a whole play area with water all around it, there was plenty of room to splash around safely. she loved it and it helped tire her out. We definitely would stay here again. Highly recommend.

I felt welcomed by the hotel staff from the minute I stepped foot inside the hotel. The check-in process was very simple. The hotel lobby and rooms were extremely clean. I interacted with both Anthony and Beatriz during my time here. Both made me feel welcomed and asked if I needed anything during my stay to let them know. Having a nice hotel and staff like them, makes all the difference! If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing environment, then you must stay here. I’ll be sure to return to this property in the future!

The front desk lady during our stay, Ashley, is the best! Very personable and helpful! Other staff we ran into during our stay were also pleasant. Our room was very clean, and the layout was nice. The bathroom was very clean and the towels and soaps were good quality. The bed was quite comfortable with comfortable pillows. The included breakfast offered a variety of choices.

At only a 5-8 minute drive to downtown Asheville, this hotel is very convenient with both a pool (which is both indoor and outdoor) as well as an exercise center. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the elevator goes down to the main parking area which is convenient for loading/unloading, the free breakfast offered is good quality, and the rooms are very comfortable with easily adjustable thermostats. Offered in each room is an assortment of Dove shampoos, soaps, as well as conditioners, and complimentary lotions in the restroom. There is a small convenient snack area offering a selection of chips, candy bars, waters, and alcohol near the main entrance. While the view wasn’t the best at the hotel it certainly wasnt the worst; from the room I had we were able to overlook a portion of the highway as well as the back of a couple restaurants and nearby hotels.

I didn't notice anything wrong. I am very particular about hotels. Customer service was awesome. I stayed 4 nights. Initially, I was disappointed there was no bacon. However, I am changing my diet, so no bacon was good. The breakfast was good and healthy. Very clean. My room was VERY CLEAN. I had everything I needed. I enjoyed my stay!

Great stay ! Room smell good when I first walked in the bathroom was pretty clean. The towels was stock. Didn’t have to ask for extra towels. Tv service was good the view from the room was OK. Breakfast was good ! It’s better to get there early in the morning around 630 to 7 to beat the crowd for breakfast. Also, the indoor pool was very warm and inside. And other half was outside. Also had a clean gym that I didn’t use but I would have . It was a great day, so I had two nights here.

This hotel was super clean, staff is great and friendly. Plenty of parking. It is close to various restaurants, however it is NOT walking distance from Downtown. Unless you have a car the walk is about a 20-30 minute walk down Tunnel Road and THRU the tunnel which is a really busy street and not sure the neighborhood is safe to walk around at night. If you don't have a car it is rather far from the action. Also breakfast ends too early especially when one is on vacation so even though we paid for it we didn't use it.

Checked in and they had us Ina. Room where the head of the bed was next to the elevator shaft. We asked to move and the desk clerk said all they had was a room across the elevator corridor, but the head of the bed was not next to that walk. She failed to let us know that the elevator mechanical room was behind the wall. So we unpack and leave for some Joe Tourist fun and when we get back at 10:30 pm, all we heard was the motor and sheaves running up and down. Being on the first floor, we could hear every person's conversation that got on or off.|First morning we requested a move and the clerk put us in a room away from the elevator. |We slept great the rest of our stay. Comfortable bed, very clean room, good free parking and close to the outlet mall and Biltmore Estate. |Breakfast was fair, not as good as most HI Express. Prices were average for the area and this style hotel. A/C and heat worked good, but no constant fan option. Constant fan would have helped on first night with the elevator noise issue. |
