Holiday Inn Express & Suites Altus, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Altus - 2812 E Broadway St, USA

Every staff member I dealt with at this hotel was pleasant and helpful. Overall I don't regret staying here. The breakfast offerings were what I'd expect from a hotel of this kind, and there was a Keurig coffeemaker and K-cups in my room. ||I was disappointed in the wifi; the signal in my room was weak. Not something I'd expect from this brand. Also, the first room I was given when I checked in smelled awful. Fortunately the manager immediately assigned me to a different room, which had no odor problem. However, I think the room change wasn't noted in the system because my room keycard died the next day and housekeeping didn't visit my room after the first night. This was corrected by a quick visit to the front desk, after which my keycard and the housekeeping were fine for the rest of my stay. ||The building itself is not very old. But just a note: as of August 2024, they have closed the pool and there are signs explaining the presence of black tarps on some walls - pending repair of damages from a recent severe storm in the area. (Looks like it was water intrusion.) I assume these repairs will be completed soon.||This hotel is located near Altus AFB and the county hospital complex.

The location is easy to get in and out of. The rooms are clean and they have good water pressure. Our toilet was very low and required a long flush to get anything down. The carpets are getting older. It was quieter than we expected. The AC kept up with 95 degrees outside.

I am a preferred customer at Holiday Inn. Every time I come and visit my mother I always come to Holiday Inn express so I checked in. I seen I had a room which was a double and I asked the lady can I go ahead and get it a standard room she told me no, and there they was booked up with capacity so this morning I talked to the guy. He said they have plenty of rooms. so she lied to me last night when I came into my room had a bad odor like you know so I called down to bring me some air freshener. I’ll try to remove the smell out. She came up somewhat so I had to go to Walmart go get some Lysol spray , it was horrible. I couldn’t even sleep from smelling the odor. She wouldn’t give me another room I will never book again in Altus Oklahoma.

Made a reservation, paid for it, showed up a day late and they sold my room to someone else and said they were full. Nothing but problems at this hotel. Between no hot water and someone opening my door at 10pm and losing my reservation this hotel is run by amateurs. Will never book with this company again. I tried multiple times here because at least they are clean rooms

I checked in to the hotel and unfortunately had to check out the same day due to no hot water in the entire hotel so I couldn’t just move rooms. It was expected to be fixed the next day which was when I was checking out. In this difficult situation the front desk gal Jess was accommodating and extremely pleasant and professional. I work in a customer service field and I understand instances happen and sometimes they are out of our control but I wanted to throw in the positives that the hotel was clean, rooms were nice. It was solely the hot water issue that was the problem.

The breakfast was out of food after 1 hr of serving....need to be more options especially after paying the prices we pay for the rooms and service. Other that it was a great time!!! Will be back again in a few weeks ...

I called to make a reservation and was told I had to do it online, I went online and booked 2 conjoined rooms, when I arrived to check in they wouldn't give my military discount because I booked online ( even though they told me to), and our rooms were not joining. Next, we noticed that half of the hotel was covered in plastic because of a water leak that affected all floors. I broke out in hives, probably from the moldy room. Terrible experience all the way around.
