Holiday Inn Express & Suites Altoona, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Duncansville - 115 Convention Center Dr, USA

I always try to get a Holiday Inn Express. We had one in Columbus OH that was definitely not my favorite. This one in Altoona was so amazing!!! It had everything that I love about these hotels. Super friendly front desk staff, nice pool, and complimentary laundry!!! It is situated on top of a hill, so it feels very safe. In fact we have this hotel booked again for this upcoming weekend.

What a great place to stay! Our employer uses this hotel on a regular basis and I appreciate it! The staff, especially Lindsey is absolutely great! Rooms are always clean, the women here are always very polite and helpful. Close to restaurants and stores. I highly recommend staying here!

VERY quick check in. As expected property for a "newer" Holiday Inn Express. Starting to show some wear, but it's fine. Good bed. Cleanliness was fine. Big parking lot. Isolated good area. I'd stay again.

Beds were so comfortable. Room was big and spacious - new and clean. Bathroom needed a good mop, but plenty of towels and a great size. Check in was very efficient. Room not at all soundproof - very noisy floor from above and you could hear the toilet flushing from upstairs. Parking was very convenient and breakfast was adequate. A good size gym and a little shop to buy snacks and drinks.

Made a reservation here and told them I had my wife's small service dog. Booked the room. We were from out of state and when we walked through the door the manager yells get that animal out here! Tried to explain I called booked the reservation with a service animal. she was so rude to us and told us we could not stay there. Lucky for us the Hampton Inn had a room available.

After a long day of travel, we booked about 20 minutes ahead and arrived at around 1:15AM. We walked into a mob of parents and their very young children verbally attacking the receptionist. They were very loud despite the late hour. Melissa (the receptionist) handled herself with grace and professionalism. The parents quickly dispersed once they realized we were there to check in. I honestly don't know how Melissa handled herself so well. She checked us in, and we had a quiet night sleep. The room was clean and just what we needed to start fresh and finish our journey home. To the obnoxious parents: paying for a hotel room doesn't give you the right to be terrible to the staff! To Melissa: great job and thanks for the professionalism!

I’ve stayed at this hotel numerous times for business that I do in the area. Each time they give me a hard time about using the credit card that I book with saying that I need to actually present the physical card upon check in, (which I share with my boss). I had had a credit card authorization form completed TWICE so that it doesn’t continually happen, but today upon check in, after a long day of driving and work, I was again asked to present the card. And when I said they should have the authorization on file, they could not find it. Heather, the GM was very rude to me. Couldn’t explain to me why this particular Holiday Inn is the only one that makes me go through this every single time I stay, (and I travel frquently). It’s a shame because I like the brand and the hotel is typically a decent/clean hotel choice, but unfortunately, I may have to find another option when in town because I do not like the way I have been treated the last 2 times I have stayed at this property.

I’m pretty picky about hotels and this location was nice and clean, quiet 🤫, good breakfast and beyond. I would stay here again if needed. And the night auditor has a wonderful personality ❤️
