All of the desk people are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are great. If you’re teaching at Central New Mexico Community college, or the university of New Mexico, this is a wonderful location in particular. But also great access to the airport.
Positive: Staff was awesome and helpful. Breakfast was actually pretty good for a complimentary breakfast. Negative: Could use some regular clean up and gym was crappy. Nice equipment, but there is not enough room. There is a huge cabinet for towels nobody is even using and a water fountain that doesn¿t work. Get rid of the cabinet and put a couple of high shelves an
Called customer service yesterday. Had them call the hotel to confirm a booking for one of my staff members and that a credit card authorization form was on file and there wouldn't be any issues. They told me she was set and there wouldn't be a problem. My staff member showed up after a 10 hour drive and was denied a room stating it could be fraudulent. I then had to book her a room elsewhere. Front desk girl was rude and not professional at all. Don't stay here.
We stayed here for 4 nights for the balloon fiesta. Our room was on the first floor and I guess the folks above us were pretty quiet, because we didn't hear anyone up there. The front desk folks were very nice and took care of us when we had questions. Breakfast was the usual fare...oh and they had chocolate milk so that made me quite happy. :)||We didn't hear it, but there were an issue with their parking lot alarm where he kept going off. We didn't hear anything but heard from others regarding the issue. ||Just an FYI for those who are considering staying here for balloon fiesta activities...park and ride is the way to go and the park and ride lot at the Coronado Mall is only about a 15-20 drive from the hotel.||We have stayed here before and we will stay here again.
The one thing that's especially great about Holiday Inn Express & Suites are that their rooms are almost identical across every property, as are the breakfast offerings. I always know exactly what I'm getting! The other thing that's wonderful about this property are the staff! Monica, Jennifer, and Alfred were at the front desk planning the day when I tried to check in early. I had an early flight and had arrived just before noon, well before check-in time. But they were gracious and more than willing to help me out so I could get my stuff situated before heading out to explore!
Terrible! They advertised an indoor, heated pool as well as a full breakfast. The pool was closed, and they had ZERO food the next morning - didn't bother to apologize, and still charged me the full rate. The window blinds allow so much light in at night, it's difficult to rest. Science says a fully dark room is best. Get a clue, IHG! Lastly, the TV was completely worthless with no reception whatsoever. I will NEVER stay here again, and I am travelling through ABQ all the time for business in Santa Fe. I look forward to continuing to telling others to go elsewhere. If I could give zero stars, I would do so.
Stayed in the 2 room suite for one night for the balloon fiesta- thank goodness because I could not have made it another night. The room reeked of cigarette smoke - even the bedding it was almost nauseating- but what was worse was the bed. I really think the sidewalk outside would have been more comfortable- got zero sleep. For a $300 a night plus tax room I expected a good night sleep at least.
Such a great stay for my mother and me! Everyone was great. Alexis was good enough to accommodate a room type request that I had ahead of my stay. Andrea and Cheyenne were friendly and helpful. Thank you all!|
