Holiday Inn Express Allentown North, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Allentown - 1715 Plaza Ln, USA

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff was very polite and attentive. We noticed that the staff took a lot of pride in taking care of their guests. We regularly saw the staff cleaning common areas and as a result, I can say that this has been one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast had a great variety of options. The indoor pool area was very nice with huge windows to allow natural light in and the gym was very well stocked with ice cold water, exercise machines and equipment. The location seemed very safe and quiet with close proximity to the Allentown airport. There were options for dinner within walking distance. The hotel exterior was well maintained and beautifully landscaped. We most definitely look forward to staying here the next time we are in the area.

Found this location after a long day of travel. Due to fair being in and a low inventory of rooms, got hit for over $200 for a room. Tired, I caved and registered. They bragged how good their breakfast was, more on that later. Room was so small the wedge shaped luggage cart barely let the door close. Hand soap dispenser was broken, compressor on fridge hissed every time it came on, coffee maker was broken (would not close). Next morning I had the worse HIE breakfast ever. Not a good location unless you are a fair goer. I am leaving the HIE Rewards Program and buying a travel trailer!

This hotel was great! Our housekeeper left us a card, wishing my son good luck in his lacrosse tournament. The facility was clean, the food was decent. The indoor pool is small, but was nice and clean!

Very easy to access from I 22. Rooms clean, staff helpful. Pool acces a little awkward if you use the stairs (closest stairs put you outside and you have to re-enter the building-not nice if it is winter or raining out). The breakfast bar was very well attended to by staff; they brought in new hot food (eggs, bacon, sausage) before they ran out. The access road around the building is 1 way but marked only on the pavement with arrows. Expect some patrons to be driving the wrong way. Not much yard space on the property, nothing behind the building as there is a hedge immediately being the rear parking lot.

Positive: Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. Negative: The indoor pool was cold. ¿¿ The elevator was slow. The beds could be more comfortable. We used the pull out couch and that mattress is horrible. Springs everywhere. Foam mattresses are very inexpensive and could be put on the pull out to make it usable. Negative: ""

Good roadtrip stopover location and good value. Bed was not too hard or soft. AC had stuffy room cooled and less humid in 20 minutes. Breakfast offering average for this sort of hotel.

My overall stay went well enough . The downside was after 2 nights ..upon my leaving in morning I found my car vandalized ..I was in room 214 next to elevator and could see car from windows .the last nite there was a group that was in parking lot all night .and obviously not enough was done ..my car had some kind of substances poured or sprayed all over ..I went to front desk and informed them but nothing was done ..I had to take car to a shop to get outside back to conditions before trip.. perhaps a check of cameras would have showed who or whom did this as the area would only have guests there
