Holiday Inn Detroit Metro Airport, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Romulus - 8400 Merriman Rd, USA

The room was very nice and clean. The hotel was busy, and the pool was kept decent between mass usage. The bathroom layout was a bit goofy. See picture. You would have to stand half in the toilet to use the sink. The shower was very nice.

This could have been a much better experience, and some of this I suppose could not be helped. The pillows and bed were comfortable and I slept well. This, however, is a dated hotel without convenient USB ports as I find in most every hotel (I later found one located behind the TV). Breakfast was not free but in a steak restaurant in the hotel - which for $181.00 for one night was disappointing. But cheaper ones were within walking distance. A sign outside the hotel advertises an ATM that they do not have. The shuttle took over 1/2 hour to collect me last night, which is understandable. Other Holiday Inns I have stayed in have offered a ride to your rental car, which, when I inquired, I was told that they would take me back to the airport then catch another shuttle there - and my rental car location was not even a mile from my hotel. So in addition to the high charges to stay here, I now have to add another $20.00 for an Uber trip. In a day and age where there are charges for everything and tipping is an entitlement rather than a reward for good service, this was a disappointment.

The rooms smell bad. Stains all over the bathtub. Very noisy A/C. Across the street from an abandoned hotel. Included free breakfast but we had to wait 1 hour for it. Pathetic service. Not recommended.

Positive: Staff was amazing and the hotel was very clean! Negative: Room is very outdated. Bring a charger with you. There?s no USB ports in the rooms. The TV doesn?t have the ability to login to streaming services. The biggest issue is there?s very very little light in the bathrooms. If you wear contacts bring a light

Check in service was great, and the rooms were clean and well options. However, all the vending machines are removed from the floors and a bottle of Coke is $4 at the front desk. The pool was murky enough that I couldn't see my feet while standing. Shuttle and location we great.

Had a really great night family fun nights stay. Loved the fact that you can see the airplanes coming and going. Wonderful, helpful staff and clean rooms for a great price. Would definitely recommend.

Checked in with Marilyn and she was so friendly and helpful even though it was a busy night!! Room was great, bed was comfortable, food was amazing! Close to the airport is a huge plus. Highly recommend!

Not a bad hotel! Staff is nice. The Fragrance they use in the lobby a little strong for my liking. No free breakfast that at the other holiday day inm down the street. Very close to airport. This is a No thrills hotel. Nice /small gym,pool,hot tub.IT WAS VERY QUIET loved that. Bed was on the harder side for my liking the pillows avg. Cleanish room the came in to a not bad but dusty room. They have this weird thing. You have to put your key into a slot to turn on the lights.I don't know what it's but I can't find a ihg hotel with a good bathroom the hair dyer shorted out with sparks. The Toilet it right by sink hard to use sink. The faucet I'm to far back hard to wash hands. The towels holder in the shower very dumb place will hit your head and you have to fined new place to un used towels. There was NO WATER PRESSURE in shower very limp. I think there a lose tile to I stepped on it 3 or 4 time and there was give. Bring your own snacks and drinks small bag of chips or soda is like 4 bucks plus. They have a great Restaurant bar in the place I met a awesome Fight Attendant we had a great time and Switched numbers. So if your in the that or seeing the crew or Pilots there allways in and out very cool 30 min from downtown and Ann Arbor very eazy drive. There really nothing much around the hotel Dive bars restaurant and Gentleman's club Hand some chain places not to wrote home about .there like 5 or 10 other hotels around you 6 1/2 out of 10
