Holiday Inn Club Vacations Cape Canaveral Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Cape Canaveral - 1000 Shorewood Dr, USA

Had gone with my family on off-season (January) so the place was not very crowded at all which was nice. The room was just ok - clean enough and everything worked well but had a slightly musky smell to it. On a couple days we did find 2 cockroaches which was a big turn off! The restaurant food was decent and the service was very quick and friendly. The room service/ front desk however, needed some work. I had called ahead of check-in twice to let them know we would need a crib for my baby. Upon arrival they did not have one in our room but said they would get it done. A few hours had gone by without anything being done and it was only after the 3rd phone call to the desk that they had brought one up. This seemed to be a similar case whenever we needed supplies such as extra garbage bags or soap. Things wouldn’t come unless multiple phone calls and a trip to the desk were made. We definitely don’t expect it to be done right away but this took well over 12 hours. The pool area and hot tubs were great and nicely maintained. , The arcade however, was very dated looking and the cinema was not even playing movies even at scheduled times when we had gone to check it out. All in all we didn’t find it to be the nicest experience and were really not impressed. We had stayed at the holiday inn resort in Orlando the previous year which had way more amenities and overall was just a much nicer experience than this resort.

It’s okay. Two of the outlets didn’t work in the living room at that was inconvenient. Hot tub closed at 10 and we were asked to leave at that time. If you are not in building 1 and need amenities you have to go to another building. The ocean side view is only really “viewable from higher than level 2. The bar is good. The food at the bar is average/not good not great. The chef at the bar is very nice so recommend him. The people working, most of them were upbeat. Cost seemed fine. Pool was very good. If the outlets had all worked in the room I would have simply rated 4 stars and been done with this review.

I was clean, high-quality service with several amenities. We were there for only 5 nights and we plan to return for a longer stay. ||||This place is huge including a board walk to the beach. While there we witnessed three Space X launchings, one right from our personal balcony. ||||Very friendly and helpful staff/front desk folks. We never once got approached to attend a sales meeting which we really appreciated. Yet, they were showing people units. I assume, the resort was asked about ownership...though not sure.||||They have an actual movie theater which plays movies all day long, A mini- golf course. They offer many DVD's & blu-ray movies for free for spending nights in.||||I highly reccomed this place.

Over all the room was very spacious and comfortable. We were able to make dinner and do laundry which helped a lot traveling with 2 toddlers. Pools were really cold except the main pool. Only one restaurant is open and closes early. Not much to do after 6pm and boardwalk to beach should be lighted. Would recommend at least 1 cleaning during stay. More activities for kids and outdoor play structure would be nice. Not sure we will be back to this location but we enjoyed the spacious room and didn’t hear much noise so slept well!

Great resort, big spacious rooms. Somewhat dated in various spots, but very clean and well kept. Heated pool, lazy river, water slides. Scheduled activities throughout the day. Boardwalk straight to beach. Port is walkable, but somewhat isolated from restaurants and shops. Service was outstanding. Feels like home!

Dated property that desperately needs modernization. Stayed in building 1 that is stuck in the 90’s. No smart TV so could not stream from device. Bathroom needs updating. Window treatments were ragged and broken. The room had a distinctive tobacco smell leftover from the smoking room days.||The grounds are adequate and amenities seemed suitable. Did not get the opportunity to use the pool as temps were not conducive for swimming but it was large and clean. ||Beach access is well maintained. ||We would not stay here again.

We have stayed several times but this trip the room was not great. There were yellow (egg?) spots on the counter and in the sink. Plastic pieces from tags on the floor, a dirty towel all in the first 24 hours. We also saw a roach in the bathroom. A mix-up in tickets to Cape Canaveral in there, too! The best part was a presentation by Chris, the space guy. He was a delight! Janet was also very informative when we checked in.

The location is fantastic - close to beach, cruise port and Cape Canaveral. Staff were excellent. Pools and amenities would be great for a family with young kids. Our room was very disappointing. There was a large gap under the door to outside , and bath had a sewer gas issue. No balcony or chairs outside door so we were unable to enjoy the fresh air without going down to the pool. Some surface updating has been done but property is showing its age and needs updating. For $327 a night we would not choose to stay here again.
