Holiday Inn & Suites Slidell - New Orleans Area, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Slidell - 372 Voters Rd, USA

This location was the absolute worst IHG hotel that we have stayed in. The reviews had to have been written by family or friends. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. It smells horrible. The rooms have spiderwebs and spiders. We were unable to shower due to the water being brown. We pulled over due to the weather and being extremely tired. We left early after finding another spider hovering. The reviews are very misleading. The people who checked us in were very nice and helpful. Our kids hated it. I wanted to leave a honest review so another family didn't have to waste money and sleep on this hotel. Update: the supervisor called and was very understanding about my concerns. She was very professional and pleasant to speak with.

After trusting Priceline and seeing the reviews I really hoped for the best. We booked for 3 nights. Went from a King to a double because the smell was HORRIBLE!!!!! It's old and filthy. The shower was not clean! After complaining about that, I was giving a shower mat! We didn't eat breakfast because I didn't trust it. TRUST ALL THESE REVIEWS because they are 100% true on this one! 3 nights there , 3 nights very uncomfortable! Trust the reviews on this one!

Every one that I was in contact with from check in to check out was more than helpful making my stay great. Room was clean, clean, clean and smelled fresh as soon as I walked in. Breakfast was just what I was looking for. Everyone super helpful.

This was the worst IHG hotel I've ever stayed in, and I solely book at IHG when I travel for work. To start off, my company sent the wrong credit card information (it's an old lady, she didn't know what she was doing - fine, that was my company's fault). The woman working was very nice, but she got her supervisor (Raina) on the phone and they basically started talking loudly to one another about how I was trying to scam them, in front of other guests, while I had a credit card out ready to give them. I understand them being weary since I don't hold the company credit card, but I was willingly giving them my card with no problem. Now onto the hotel itself - there is literally nothing around. The AC didn't work in the main areas and the hotel was absolutely disgusting (dead roaches, hair everywhere in the room, etc). It's very outdated and very uncomfortable. If you need to stay in Slidell, stay at the Holiday Inn that's a little farther away - it's clean and the people that work there are much more polite.

I checked into my hotel on May 25, 2024. When I went to take a shower that night my tub was full of what look like leg hair from someone shaving. It was disgusting. I complained the next morning about the state of the bath tub and they wrote my room number down and said they would put me on the list for a full service cleaning. I got back to my hotel room at 11:00 PM on may 26th and my tub was just as disgusting as it was the first night. Housekeeping never came into my room. Holiday Inn's are definitely not at the same standards as they once were. If that is the best that they can offer I will be staying at a different chain of hotels with all my future travels.

Worst experience. Absolutely regret booking this room. Checked in pretty late and did not notice a spot of blood on the side of the sheet. Bathroom floor was dirty. Walls were filthy. This place needs a remodel immediately.

Being a travel agent I’m always checking out places for my customers to stay. This hotel was very outdated and in a bad neighborhood. Beds were not comfortable at all. The front door would not stay closed and was unattached to the frame. Customer service was good. Breakfast was not good at all. The dresser drawers would not stay closed. There was way too much pinesol and bleach where I couldn’t breathe.

The people were very nice but the rooms not so much. Specifically the bathroom. The sink wouldn't drain and the water in the toilet was yellow. And the bathroom door wouldn't catch so you couldn't lock it. Breakfast was ok but you could tell they watered down the juices and the syrup. Breakfast area floors were dirty. Seemed very worn. Very disappointing for it to be a Holiday Inn. We expect so much more from y'all.
