Holiday Inn & Suites Pittsfield-Berkshires, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Pittsfield - One West St, USA

The hotel has been updated with comfortable rooms that are clean and nice. The pool area is clean. Breakfast was great. Easy, fast, and delicious. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The only downsides are: rooms surrounding the pool area are loud during open pool hours. Rooms could use a with noice cancelling material in the hallway walls. The parking garage is closed, but not yet under construction. So the surrounding area looks dated and rundown, but the hotel building itself has recently been painted and cleaned up.

So let's start with the good. Nice clean room. The girl at the front desk was just the nicest. She deserves a raise. The view from the 12th floor was spectacular. The hotel building itself is old, and could probably use a renovation. The hallways were dark and a little confusing to navigate. The biggest issue here is , the parking garage is closed. I was told it was being renovated. Based on the appearance and talking to folks I know in Pittsfield, it hasn't been touched in years. So there's no renovation going on to it. You have to park in a lot that has no fencing, no protection, in a moderately poor section of the city adjacent to the hotel. The valet also brings your car here. They really need to rebuild the garage and soon. I didn't like leaving my car in that lot overnight.

Positive: Hotel was in a great location for what I wanted. The rooms were recently redone and comfortable. They are still doing construction on the parking lot but they had free valet so that wasn?t an issue for me. Negative: ""

Great location, not too far from the Highway and there are places to visit around the town if you have some extra time. Service is great, clean. It looks like management takes care about the guests experience.

Just to let everyone know they have no parking at this hotel.. you either pay for valet and they bring your car down to TD bank parking lot where it may get robbed… or you drive it down yourself and walk back up to the hotel which is pretty far if you have children… if I knew this I wouldn’t have booked here… their entire parking garage is condemned and not even worked on completely destroyed.

Sink had no cold water. Shower had no pressure (literally dribbling out). I am very grateful for the kindness and understand of the front desk girl in processing my exit. Very disappointed in the facility. Whoever cleaned or maintained the room last had to know things were not in working order. Not sure what the mixup was but it is simply unacceptable. Back in the day when you could get a $70 motel, you deal with what you get. But when we’re talking about $200, I think it is reasonable to expect the basics to be managed properly.

Black mold floor to ceiling in the bathroom. Unsafe conditions and could therefore not stay. Staff at the front office was friendly, but I draw the line at permanent lung illnesses. Attempts to get refunded were denied and instead met with an offer for a discount on a future stay. Um...no thanks.

This hotel is a quiet little gem and within walking distance from the Amtrak station.The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and helpful with our questions. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant. They have the best crispy fries on the eat coast!
