Amazing Customer Service from May and Clarise at the Holiday Inn & Suites Oakland Airport||Our group recently stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites Oakland Airport, and we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional customer service provided by two outstanding staff members, May and Clarise, and other team members on-site.||From the moment we secured our group booking and arrived. Clarise efficiently managed our group check-in process, ensuring that each member received their room keys and necessary information without any hassle. Her and her team's professionalism and genuine care made the group feel right at home.||May & Clarise were equally remarkable in their customer service. Throughout our stay, they went above and beyond to assist our group with any needs that arose. Whether it was coordinating breakfast for the entire, or providing extra services, May and Clarise's dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was evident in every interaction.||Together, May and Clarise made our group stay truly enjoyable and stress-free. I would NOT recommend this hotel for events. Staff is extremely unprofessional, none of the equipment worked. I went in the day before and May, the Events Manager assured me everything was working properly. During the event the next day, it was a technical difficult nightmare. First the projectors didn't work, then the sound didn't work and then there were cords everywhere because they had to bring our a portable projector and screen rather than the mounted projectors and screens reserved for a smooth event. This is the second year in a row with issues at this hotel. I paid in full the day before, then they brought me an additional $962 bill telling me that I technically still uses the projectors. We started our event 40 minutes late with the first presentation not even being able to be played properly. There was not even an apology. Stay CLEAR from doing event at this hotel. They are not prepared to handle more than a business meeting at best.

Positive: 24 hour airport shuttle is a huge benefit for super late/early flights. Security and gates make you feel safe in that location.staff was helpful and professional. Negative: Some rowdy guests late but nothing terrible.

Positive: "" Negative: They ran my credit card for the amount of the hotel room?The coffee machine in the room didn?t work and the charge for coffee at the lobby. I got bumps on my head after sleeping on the bed. Other then that it was great ?

Positive: Proximity to airport. Convenient shuttle. Negative: Did not feel safe. Heard from other patrons of hotel about crime activity at hotel. Staff, facility and amenities were fine, the street racer noise at night and the events told by others made for an uneasy experience.

The fish tacos at the bar were the best I've ever had. Very full of meat. The service was okay to be honest. Staff was great. Kinda got stuck at the paid parking. Relatively safe. Can't say much. But the bar and food was great.

SERVICE & TRANSITIONS -- Impressive lobby layout. Very clean; perfect balance of function & glitz. Staff were personable & enthusiastic, facilitating average-speed checkins. Manual paperwork & lack of Tap Pay made the process slower than it needs to be. Gated parking on site is a nice perk but also easily confuses ride share drivers. The police/security presence can be comforting too if you aren't from this area. Access to a full gym + laundry services are included & the facilities are in great condition. ROOMS (423, 143) -- The Accessible rooms are incredible; more spacious than the status quo 👍. Lighting is weak in these units consequently. It's still an enjoyable setup, with supportive seating & a generous amount of tabletop space. Standard guest room layouts have much better lighting & views. Good AC systems in both configurations, as well as some improvised storage. Everything about this bath space was worse than the usual underwhelming status quo. Dove bath products were a slight reprieve WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- It's free... --Performance-- Video streaming - average Online gaming - average Video chatting - average --Nerd Stats-- 3-7 Mbps download 9-37 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 32 ms latency 11 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK -- DoorDash friendly. A myriad of food-services on-site too: Snack market in the lobby, a full bar, & vending + ice machines on upper floors. In-room: ✅small mini fridge ✅Mini microwave ✅ coffee LOCATION -- The usual profile for an airport hotel. This hotel also felt safer due to the security presence, gates, and surveillance. VERDICT Minus the pitiful showers, it was a great stay. Strong on convenience & amenities. Rideshare pickup/drop off can be awkward, so prepare for some walking. 4/5⭐️

Positive: Proximity to the Coliseum, went to A?s one last time. Negative: They charged an additional $20 a day for parking. Hidden fee for an airport hotel I OAK airport. Drunk people banging on the Galway doors in what May have been a domestic fight at Midnight.
