Holiday Inn & Suites East Peoria, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in East Peoria - 101 Holiday St, USA

This place has legitly been the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life!! And I've been so many from the East Coast to the West. Their front desk employees Christian, Ben, Allison, and Nick were some if the nicest people I have actually EVER met. I normally don't do reviews online even, but these people were all so special and so kind to me that I just had to say something. Do NOT hesitate to try this hotel out. The entire experience was 10/10 from beginning to end.

My Sewing Guild came to spend 3 days sewing. We rent a ballroom & we are treated like royalty. The room is perfect, fresh coffee is brought to us each day. We have thank Tim for this. He goes above and beyond. Thanks to Eric, our server for dinner.

The staff I encountered was friendly and professional but the hotel has seen better days and was a little rundown. Towels and drapes had holes. The cleaning staff needs to be retrained. Their were multiple hairs in my bathroom. The toilet paper roll was partially enrolled and not on dispenser. Their was dust on furnishings and shower was not clean. As a plus I did not see any bed bugs.

I stayed here 5 days for business and it was ok. Had been here previously in 2019 and it seems not much has changed except a few light bulbs. The gym is great though. Good equipment options if you get there at the right time. ||New for me is I never knew Americans drank coke in bed or in the bathroom until I stayed here and saw the coke splashes everywhere in my room. Good house keeping though, replacing towels and ammenities efficiently.

They had a water supply issue that meant there was no hot water or restaurant service . This is not the annoying issue. The issue was that they had the problem when I checked in, with no line of sight to having it fixed until the following day and didn’t tell me about it. Quite a few others I spoke with were in the same situation. No one was happy. If I had known I was going to have a cold shower with little pressure, I would have found another hotel. The real problem is that they have no management available outside business hours, to make decisions. The staff on duty have limited authority and we’re totally overwhelmed. Pick up your game East Peoria Holiday Inn in that past 12 months you have been spiralling down at a great rate of knots. You are not the only hotel in the area.

First I want to start by saying, I have never been so poorly treated at a hotel! But the staff are VERY rude & condescending! At least the 3 I dealt with. I don’t have names but I’ll give descriptions! The thin tall white lady, the short long hair Hispanic guy and the the tall middle aged Black guy! All RUDE! My spouse and I stayed here for a business trip so our company paid for the stay! Upon check in we gave the reservation details, then they asked for a credit card & I explained to them that all of the information is on file & billed to the company! The proceeded by telling me “they don’t do corporate travel” & I proceeded by telling them I’m sure whomever owns the Holiday Inn could care less who pays for it as long as it is paid for! They then found the reservation (because they were wrong) & then proceeded to tell me that they needed to have a card on file for incidentals. I again explained it is billed to the corporate card on file! They then told me they can’t accept it! We went back & forth for about half and hour and So I called my travel department at work. The woman I called said to hand them the phone, I placed it on speaker & she proceeded to tell them “it is corporate travel just bill it to the card”, the black guy who was giving me the most problems, proceeded to tell her “okay no problem, I will bill it to the same card”. I was in disbelief. I said “Did she speak a different language from me because I’ve been saying for half an hour what she said for 10 seconds”. His response was “ We needed to verify and hear them say it” now that would have made since EXCEPT He didn’t verify anything with her! He didn’t verify her name, the company, my information, NOTHING! He simply heard a white woman on the phone say “bill it to the same card” and all of a sudden my reservation was golden! I couldn’t believe it! I’m used to staying at 5 star hotels & even with our company they normally put us in 5stars also but they were booked and we never have issues! & then to add insult to injury the hotel was completely empty and they placed us in a Handicap Double Bed room instead of the King Room that was paid for! I called down to ask for the proper room and the short Hispanic man told me that they were fully booked! Lies! I looked online they had plenty of rooms available & gain the parking lot & the hotel was DEAD! The room was not clean! Hair and crumbs in the bed! Dirty chair area! The countertops in the bathroom were not clean and they only have 1 set of towels! The shower liner inside the bath was disgusting and had not been washed or changed in looks like EVER! Completely filthy like discolored! They didn’t refresh the room at all during a 4 day 3 night stay! Had to get towels off the cart in the hallway! Only thing decent thing they had were Dove amenities and the gym was nice! Overall, a terrible stay! The front desk staff turned me off so bad we didn’t even bother with the bar or the steakhouse! Unlucky for them, I have a say so on where our company books & I have made sure that we will NEVER book with these people again!

Excellent hotel! Staff was friendly, room was clean, all nice Dove products. I only had three complaints; 1) the pillows are down and super flat. 2) the elevator and hallways need vacuumed daily. 3) there was no mattress pad on the bed and it had a stained sheet. I do think the sheet was clean, but I did not smell it!||Otherwise our room was spotless

Although the room was nice size and clean, I was awakened at 1am to a strange man opening my door. Apparently his key was mistakenly keyed for the wrong room. As this is a huge safety issue especially for a woman traveling alone, when I brought this to the attention of the front desk I was never contacted by the manager to express any concern or regret about the situation. The clerk simply said he wod try to give me points. I usually don't stay at Holiday Inn as I am Titanium Marriott Bonvoy member and have never experienced such a scary situation. I only stayed this time as the government rate was not available at the hotel I normally stay. I will not stay here again. Beware!
