Not too bad of a stay for the value. The beds are really comfy and the staff is attentive and very nice. There’s a bar and restaurant downstairs if you need them, but the breakfast is not included with the stay. It’s a great central location for everything around. I’d stay again.

So when I come to visit family on the Island weather Fripp or St. Helena, I'll stay here because of the location and how quiet it is. I've never commented on previous stays because I would have assumed the issues and discrepancies from prior visits would have been rectified. But alas. A new issue, compounded with lack of the previous ones fixed, has me ready to stay at the Home 2 Suites right across the street. Case in point. My stay was around the holiday season and upon returning from the island. I attempted to use the bathroom and out scurried 2 small roaches. The last time I saw a roach was while I was in the military on a business trip at a hotel that wasn't as reputable as Holiday Inn. I killed them, cleaned up and called it an evening. The next day after returning from the island yet again, same location, the bathroom, but this time an even bigger roach. I took pictures and video recorded. I decided to check out. I informed the staff who was the assistant manager who told me she would let her manager know. What I appreciate is that she refunded me 75% of the stay. That is one reason I continue to patronize IHG Brand hotels. But the major issues in that hotel must be rectified: The extra elevator needs to be fixed, the gym needs to be cleaned, with all equipment in working order, and of course the roach problem. I keep a clean house inside and outside. I don't have then in my home, no reputable hotel should have them in theirs!

I have stayed in the Holiday Inn Express of Beaufort and I want to say this is one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. The manager we were on the phone with was wasting time with us trying to book a room while giving unnecessary comments. The owner had told us that this was a “buffet-style breakfast” which was a lie. This breakfast is small, really expensive, and is no where NEAR a buffet style breakfast. There are no refills to the tiny glass of your choice of beverage they give you. (You can only choose one). The glasses are dirty, the service here is poor and the food quality is extremely poor. The owner not only lied to us about the buffet, but we were only supplied 3 tickets out of 5 people for the breakfast voucher and they wanted us to pay an additional $10 for the other 2 vouchers (which you can only have one choice of a small meal). If I could rate this place 0/5 stars, I would do so, otherwise I have to give them 1 star. Do not stay here. I come to Beaufort often due to being in a Marine’s family.

Facility needs work, 1 of 2 elevators was out of service and the other kept tripping the breaker and had to be reset multiple times. The coffee pot in our room did not work and had to be replaced. The pool was out of service. The bar was closed the entire time for our stay and was flooded at one point. We had a cockroach in our shower. Overall it served its purpose for us to attend the Marine graduation at Parris Island. I would never stay at this location again.

It's a nice hotel and the rooms are clean. My only issue was there I saw 2 bugs in the bathroom. Yes, it was clean and I assume it's because the building is so big that you can't expect to get rid of them completely since it's cold now. Still, it was a bit off putting.

We had a great stay at Beaufort Holiday Inn. Had a great view, rooms were clean and beds very comfy. However we received no room service the three nights of our stay, and room maintenance was lacking. Soap dispenser broken, shower clean but poorly maintained and a few small items were falling apart in the room.

I stayed 4 days 3 nights. When I arrived the bar/restaurant was closed due to water leaking. Only 1 elevator was working the entire time. Which caused a long wait to get up or down. I found a cockroach in my bath tub and a few little bugs crawling on the bathroom floor. The customer service check-in and check-out was pleasant though. I will not be staying at this location again.

The room was nice and cleaned. The beds were comfortable and slept nicely the three nights we stayed. Staff were friendly. Disappointing that the indoor pool was closed and the shower speaket was loose and drained more in the tub than the shower head and would flood the tub because the tub stopped kepted going down for the price of $149 dollars a night was quite pricey since the website said $93 a night till we got there. Will probably look else where next trip we take.
