This is really a hidden gem in the area! Love their Ramen as well as their rich broth yet not very salty and oily. We ordered regular bowl but honestly I bet everyone should be able to finish a “Large” (+$1) one 😋
I'm a huge fan of tonkatsu style ramen. Even though I didn't see that on the menu here, both mine and my wifes ramen were rich and creamy, just like tonkatsu. I had the Tantanmen special. It was salty, savory, and spicy - Everything that I wanted in a bowl of ramen, and served incredibly hot. I wish I had one of these back home.
I had the pleasure of dining at this Japanese ramen restaurant with my friend, and it was an exceptional experience. The ramen was a true delight, with rich and flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and a generous serving of toppings. i love the extra bamboo. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a cozy and inviting place to enjoy a meal. The standout feature for me was the depth of flavors in their ramen. Whether you prefer a rich tonkotsu or a savory shoyu broth, they have options that will satisfy your palate. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in each bowl were evident. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this ramen gem. It's a culinary experience that shouldn't be missed, and it will leave you craving more..
The place is quite crowded and noisy. The staff is very polite and attentive. Food-wise, ramen noodles are ok, but not great. The broths I tried were varied - tan tan was pretty good, but the vegetarian one was definitely too bland and lacked richness. Additions were quite limited - they used to have really nice half-boiled egg, but now I only got a hard boiled one. Over all, an ok place to eat, but there are.better ramen shops in the neighborhood.
A great place in Cambridge to grab some comfort ramen with some friends! I usually get the shoyu ramen with aji-tama and takoyaki. Dine-in is usually crowded and busy so it might not always fit your vibe. Food is delicious and customizable for your cravings (for an additional cost). Tea is available for purchase, with free refills. Bathrooms are kept clean. Staff are very friendly and check-in a few times during your meal. There is a communal table for 1-3 people, as well as group seating. They don't do reservations in advance, though you can check-in and add your name to the waitlist once you're in the area. The ramen size options are very handy, especially if you don't have a consistent appetite. There are many toppings/add-on options, though they don't provide a lot of the toppings (especially when compared to the additional cost). I definitely recommend adding an egg (aji-tama) topping but would hold off on the others. The broth could be better, as the taste is more subtle. If it wasn't so busy or noisy, I definitely would enjoy spending time trying their tea options! My go-to is the hot matcha genmaicha tea (green tea with rice).
Pretty good ramen and a wide variety of side dishes! We had the vegetarian combo that includes two small sides - very filling and decent price. The tofu in the ramen was sweet and the noodles were thin. Very tasty! Service was quick and staff were friendly.
Very last minute decision to come here to get my family to try some ramen . The place are really good reviews of your expecting super good food, but the lack of versatility in the menu was quite disappointing . There was no ramen which offered chicken - anything was pork and very high fat as well :( I asked if it were possible to give less noodles in the ramen and add extra vegetables instead, but they said no to that Same with leaving out the rice in the chicken rice bowl and substituting it with some salad. I know that as well. I ended up just asking for a plane large salad and getting some protein from the fried chicken appetizer. GREEN SALAD (fresh mixed greens served with original salad dressing) - This is exactly as described. Literally just the greens and that ginger dressing kind of thing that comes with. The dressing was actually quite strong so only a little bit was needed for the greens. A good portion size of the greens So the price was acceptable. That KARAAGE (Japanese style deep fried chicken) appetizer was really good though! Crispy and good flavor. TAKOYAKI (Fried octopus balls dizzled with takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, topped with bonito flakes) were also delicious! First time trying something like this and it was good. The sauce that it came with was a really good add-on. TON TAKSU (Japanese Pork Cutlet) Really crispy, and lean meat inside. Meat filet itself was quite thin though. TONKOTSU SHOUYU RAMEN (Savory & complex flavor of soy sauce combined with silky tonkotsu broth with a hint of bonito dashi) My husband and brother both got one of these each. And my sister got the mini version as part of the kids meal. All of them enjoyed and finished the entire portion! Broth was flavorful and good portion size here as well. TONKOTSU KARA MISO RAMEN (Miso based ramen with a hint of spiciness gives a nice kick to the flavor) This was the spicy miso ramen; My dad got this one because he's a fan of spicy food. I tried it and oh my, the broth has actually spicy! This was his first time having ramen and he finished a sizable amount. Did not finish the entire bowl though, maybe because it was too much food and he isn't used to it.
Phenomenal food (highly recommend the vegetarian ramen, the broth was creamy and flavorful,it was absolutely delicious!!! I was dreaming about that ramen when I went home lol it was that good) the atmosphere is very welcoming & lively. the staff is absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive, patient & kind. She was the sweetest. I Will definitely come here again!!!
