Cute park! Great to take my kids and it's hardly crowded ever. The nature museum is really interesting if you happen to go by when they are open.
Beautiful park in the NW part of Gainesville. Recently renovated. There's a small museum, a large playground area, picnic tables in the shade, bird feeders that attract many species and a butterfly garden. Highly recommended
Great park. Picnic areas. Has bathrooms. Hiking trails. Exercise trail. Playground.
Attended a class on Geocaching and learned some history on the house and land.
The gals that work there are just awesome!
This is a great neighborhood park, while currently closed for renovations, is a great resource for recreation, walking, and just spending time with family and friends. Dog friendly with waste stations located throughout the small park. The renovations look exciting, with excercise equipment, picnic tables, and a newly installed grill. There's a new playground for kids with brand new equipment there as well. I've got to give Home Depot props for donating land and money to make this park a reality. Regardless of the likelihood of Home Depot being somewhat coerced into the donation by local government (the usual MO for their anti-growth mindset), trading the land for the opportunity to build their nearby store I am thankful for Hogtown Creek Headwaters Nature Park existence.
As Florida parks go, this one is decent. Nothing too spectacular, but a good hour or two relaxing. There’s a large loop at the back of the park taking you through many different types of trees. There’s one split in the road that’s makes it hard to tell where the designated trail leads, but, even meandering through that smaller trail was fun. The playground itself is great for kids (they even have a small zip line), and there’s outside workout machines too.
First off this park is one of the best parks I. Gainesville so far! The zip lining, music area, exercise equipment along the trail, the mini rock climbing, and etc. My son had a blast at this park and it’s so much for him to do at this park! They also have a trail to walk on and just beautiful scenery. My son’s favorite thing at this park is the zip line!
Great shaded park, with an awesome playground, fitness loop and a trails for hiking. Bathroom conveniently located at front of park entrance and everything was clean and maintained.

A peaceful place to sit at in the evening and night. In the afternoon you can hear the chants of "Hare Rama, Hare Krishna" by the Krishna Lunch folks. They even play on a Harmonium sometimes. Well maintained park. I have spotted a snake there twice s
Nice little walking path. Itâs not too long, so i wouldnât consider it a work out. But i enjoyed seeing a bunch of tiny frogs everywhere and learning about some native plants
The beautiful example of an aged Live Oak, is the largest example in the entire state of Florida. A breathtaking living giant that is over 30 feet in diameter, 85+ feet tall, and its branches reach out so far one even had to be supported. This "park"
Stopped by here and walked the whole thing in about an hour and a half. Peaceful, quiet, and easy to walk. It wasn't too busy either. My only concern is how slippery the plywood(located on some parts of the bridge at the entryway of the parking area
Little gem! Great walks. Very uneven paths with lots of tree roots l, downed limbs, if you need to be aware of this. If you go off the main path into the smaller ones, you have some inclined to deal with also.
Off the main path is where the best vi
Beautiful park with a shaded playground! Lots of picnic tables under the trees and pavilion, a sand area with tons of communal toys, and an open field for throwing a ball or frisbee. Great experience!
Green tree Park is very nice, neat and clean. Parks and recreation just needs to empty trash cans a little more often so that over the weekends they're not full.
If you have dogs, You must take them to Forrest Park!Today they had their grand opening, and the dog park is AMAZING. The best dog park in town for sure! They even have a professional dog wash station! The park is HUGEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of spac
