If you want to visit the old South, this is a good start. Beautiful property with plenty of room for kids to run about. The grove of old oak trees is nice. The plantation home hourly tour is well-done and you can freely wander the property. At one time it was a rice plantation worked by slaves. This location is close to Fort King George and the remains of the Butler plantation. There are a few additional buildings for the old dairy and an old Cutlass Supreme. The park does a large event around Dec 1st.
This place was absolutely amazing! We had a tour guide show us around the house and it was breath taking. After the tour we were allowed to roam around the plantation. There were so many cool places to check out! I definitely recommend bring sunscreen and bug spray! I can not tell you how many times I got but our there by the marsh. I wish I could show you more pictures! I took so many on this trip but sadly I can only give you 50.
We were heading to Fort King George and seen the sign for the Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, so we took time to visit and it was absolutely amazing. We loved the grounds and the old buildings were awesome. The tour guide was amazing, she definitely made the trip. There is a lot of walking but there's also places to sit if you want a break. I definitely recommend taking the time to take the guided tour of the house.
We spent very little time here. We had done two other state parks in close proximity, and when we pulled up, we found out that you had to, yet again, pay more money, even with a state park pass to come inside. Really getting sick and tired of Georgia letting you buy a pass and then charging you for 35% of all the other state monuments and parks. The grounds are perfectly beautiful and the trees, I think they are live oaks, are massive and easily 200 years or older. The grounds are well-maintained. However, we did not find ourselves wanting to spend more money just to go view some more buildings. I think after you visit the King George site, there’s really no need to come here. However, I think I’m probably biased. It was fine.
Loved my time here. The tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She took the time to let us browse around in-between going to different rooms. Beautiful home with a lot of rich history. Highly recommend.
Amazing piece if history so well preserved that you think you've stepped back in time. Do the tour of the house and get the whole family story, it's so worth it. Absolutely beautiful property.
Plan on spending at least two hours at this location. Tours are given on the hour. The staff here are exceptionally friendly. This destination is a must-see. This site has two live oaks that are 500-800 years old. Be wary that in the summertime, the biting flies and mosquitoes can be exceptionally fierce. Our volunteer docent, Linda, took exceptional pride in her job.
Beautiful property right past Butler Plantation. You have to pay to visit the mansion but the outside park is free. Didnt visit the mansion so I can only speak on the property and the oaks trees out here are really old. Great place for some family photos with a old Georgia flair.

Amazing wraps for the price! We got breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our trip to Cumberland Island! So many options that we were able to create 3 different meals. Very easy to order online and not a crazy long wait.
This was our third trip into Brunswick. Each visit we find a little bit better, different place. This has been the best so far! A phenomenal vibe within this restaurant! This was upscale & cool, but not pretentious. Excellent drinks! I had the Silver
Great local place! Service was fantastic! I do wish they had their complete menu available (a gentleman ordered pineapple chicken behind us and it wasn't on the menu). The portions are massive!! I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it was a pleasa

An excellent stop for dinner. The catfish was fried perfect and the sides were seasoned and tasty. Extremely friendly service. It made for a quick meal but delicious. Kitchen area is visible and was very clean. I'd definitely stop on a future trip.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Richland Rum. We went about a week ago for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We used the Groupon deal and the staff was very accomodating. We arrived early and were able to start the tour early as
This place was definitely amazing. My kids are super picky but they cleared their plates and went back for seconds. It reminded me of back home so it was awesome. I had been searching everywhere for someone to come remote close to Cajun cooking and t
Fantastic food! I had the crab grilled cheese. Light brown and a mix of 3 cheeses served with fries. Yum! The bartenders and servers are very good and attentive! The atmosphere is modern Cafe style with a twist of upcycled decor. A neat little find i
