If your into RC controlled planes this is cool! From small electrics to gas 8' wing spans, WWII replicas. They even had a jet that was really something to see. This gathering is a week long, the week before Halloween. People where really nice and friendly glad to show and explain. I'm sure there are more meets call to find out.
Love the turf here more than any other field I’ve ever flown. They take care to be amazing at what they do.
Another fantastic experience at Hodges field! This place is magical for all types of aviation. I spent a week there with 300 of my best friends flying paramotors. Big thanks to the bad apples and Mac for hosting us!
I ran a F5J RC sailplane contest at Hodges field. This location is beautiful and the amenities are hard to beat. The grass runway worked out perfect for us. We had a few competitors camp at the field. There are full 50amp hookups for large RVs. Those camping also have showers and nice bathrooms. We were at the field for 4 days. Mac and crew let us be hands off for the most part. They really put a lot of trust to keep the place neat. They do a great job of getting us set up and then letting you do your thing. There are stict rules for keeping things clean, but you're a guest so do your part and keep things picked up. This is now one of my favorite places to fly. I hope to be back here soon for more events.
This is my first visit to the legendary Hodges field and it's everything I hoped it would be and then some! The Lush grass and Wide Open Spaces are everything I dreamed they could be. Everyone is friendly and more than accommodating to ensure our visit is as smooth as it could be.
Mr Hodges has generously opened his property to the paramotor and RC community. What an amazing place for all aviation enthusiasts.
One of the best RC Flying fields in the country. And Mac is one of the best people you'll ever meet.
Best and nicest RC flying field anywhere! Love going there.
We have been a couple of times. It's such an incredible but sad museum. Highly recommend taking the time to read everything and be humbled by what we as humans have endured. Bless America, and we shall never forget those that served and continue to s
We took our family of 5 and loved it. What an amazing perspective of life and comforts to provide to our kids. To know what people have gone through in our history is incredible. I would highly recommend this place!â¡
