Had a great time, staff was really friendly and helpful. The security was really pushy, especially while pushing my 80 year old grandma in a wheel chair. They took us off the pavement and moved us to the way back of the event. Didn't think it was right to make us push elderly people in the grass. Other than that had a blast!!♡
Great music - fun times, just need to find who was stealing and vandalizing this year. Never an issue in the past. Our group had chairs stolen, group in front of us had cooler stolen, and we heard of the same thing happen to other groups along with someone getting their vehicle keyed! More security maybe overnight?? Improved the wrist bands from 2019 so that was good to see. Can't wait for 2022
This is our once a year vacation for 9 days of fun, country music, and meeting new people!! Always an AMAZING experience!!
No better country music festival anywhere than the Hodag. 30000 of our closest friends get to camp, drink, and listen to country music live.
Loved the music! Good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Really appreciated the line that filters waves of people through the front "pit" area, as everyone gets a chance to be close to the artists. That was especially nice for us, as we only went for a day. The only let down is how much everything focuses on alcohol. Lots of drunk, sloppy people. And one artist focused too much on getting drunk. We love country music and wanted to go for that, not to have drunk people in our face getting into our "bubble."
It was really crowded. People were just congregating on walk ways near the pavilion and vendors, then they stand there during the shows so you can't get to your chairs. I just stayed at my camper most times and I listened there because I didn't want to fight the crowd with how congested it was.. The music/band line up was not nearly as good as past years as I've been going for well over 15 years. Needless to say I was beyond disappointed with the lack of crowd control, and direction from staff. Disheartened to spend that for a ticket for a poorly planned line up; not even mentioning Ashley McBride didn't even show as promised. They now charge $5 for a ride on the cart to the show grounds which for someone handicapped like myself it's a slap in the face and clearly a money grab.. It's becoming a waste of time and money. There are many other country festivals out there and Hodag used to be the top for me and that opinions changing. I really hope things improve next year as it was one of my favorite festivals, I look forward to seeing improvements.
Very disappointed with what my mom and I experienced this year on the 8th. Once it was dark security no longer does rounds. I had to confront and intervene in a assault taking place on a young lady. Like I said security was no where in site. We drove about 14 hours round trip to attend. The person we went to see couldn't come due to issues with transportation. We found out they weren't attending from a local in a concession line. Didn't see anything up on the website, no signs up at the event and no email.

What an amazing experience! Call ahead to schedule your seats. So impressive that one man built this! A very informative and entertaining look at the nights sky.
Terrific disc golf course. Good facilities and signage. A few slopes need more grass seeding but that's minor. This is a fun Northwoods disc golf course, and we plan to return regularly!
The Hodag. One of my favorite cryptic. The story is both outrageous, funny and the stuff of storybook legend. I love the way a 100 year old "Prank" can forge the entire future of a town and it's community. The people are friendly the food is excellen
It was packed when we got here. Oh the wait was nothing compared to our food. Stellar food!!! It was so good! Everything was homemade, and the American fries were to die for. A great gem in sugar camp wi!!
Love the atmosphere! Excellent service! Requested the owner play a special song for a date night out with my wife and they were very accommodating! Thanks for making it a memorable night out!
Our 12 yr old says "it's bussin" and he's right. Amazing food and even better service. Our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Great flan, fajitas, birria... Just go. So good.
Roasted Red Pepper soup and Gyro for lunch. Super yummy. Husband had same soup and an Italian Beef sandwich. The sandwiches were huge! They had Winter drink menu that looked very interesting. I'll be back to try some of those.
I stopped in for my 1st time to pick up live bait for fishing on my way north. As we looked around, he seemed to have a good selection of fishing gear. The bait we picked up was very healthy. Will definitely stop in again .
Great place to eat. Our favorite breakfast place in tomahawk closed and we've been searching for a new one. The portions are large and the food flavorful. They were slammed and 2 employees in the front worked hard to turn over tables and get food
