A very pleasant train ride through the woods. We brought out lunch and ate it at tables in one of the cars. The sights were mostly trees, rivers, bridges, and road crossings. You may see some wildlife, but we didn't. Friendly staff. A nice narration at times during the trip. If you like trains it is a nice way to spend 80 minutes or so.
Clean, Safe, Fun. Tables in the cars to bring food (correct me if I'm wrong) or drinks if you want on the ride. The staff was super nice. Playground to play on while waiting to board the train.
It was a nice ride, and the kids had a blast! It was a HUGE plus that we were allowed to bring food, snacks, and drinks on the train. They do not have food/snacks/drinks to sell on the train. So I would definitely bring a snack for the ride for little ones.
It's a total ripoff for the route we did. The route takes you from the station to the golf course in town then turns around. Along the way, you'll see fine views such as the back of a contractor's warehouse, roads, behind people's houses, and loads of trash. Our train car had no lights, no ventilation, and zero amenities which would have been fine if there were sweeping views of the white mountains. There are NO concessions, which again is fine albeit a huge missed opportunity on their part to make some money... Sure, we did the cheapest route at $22 but I've seen better views on a commuter in NY. People are forced to take trains every day to work and here we are paying for it for leisure. They even had the nerve to stick a plaster dilapidated fake moose on the route. I bought these tickets as a birthday present for my fiancee and I was honestly embarrassed. It's called the hobo railroad for a reason I guess! I gave it 2* because what was offered went relatively smoothly and there is a lot of potential, but they need to reconsider that route they offer and perhaps offer some hot apple cider or something at the station.
My family loves mini golf when we're on vacation! This was a great course, pretty and well maintained! Staff was friendly!
Spectacular! What a privilege. Such a nice experience. I couldn't have found a better way to spend 90 mins with my loves and cruise through the beautiful countryside justbwish my phone hadn't died lol
Super fun! Our conductor was super funny with his jokes. It was a nice little train ride getting to know some history! Matt and Lucas were the attendees And everyone just made it so much fun! Can't wait to come back
Very nice ride scenic it was fun for kids and adults says also a gift shop that's not too pricey. All of us enjoyed ourselves. It was between 60 and $70 for two adults and two children but the ride was about an hour both ways. Time over there it's not that expensive as well. They also do balloon animals on the train for the kids it's kind of cute.
This is a stunning lake that has multiple trails associated with this area. The weather can be unpredictable, so wear the appropriate footwear and pack warm clothes!
Alpine Adventures is definitely a MUST DO when visiting the White Mountain area. The zip lines are thrilling and offer the chance to do something out of the ordinary and bring some excitement to your life. It's not quite as daring as skydiving (which
Update: Oct â23 Went back during foliage season. Gets crowded with visitors and overflow parking is beside the road(hazard especially from a sharp curve) view for me is not as beautiful as those with the unofficial pullovers. Aug â23 Just at the
We came here on a Saturday with my husband's family (there were a lot of us) There was hardly any wait to get our tickets & hands stamped. We spent from opening time till late afternoon here. It was so much fun. From the bear show, to Segways & you c
Beautiful Hotel in the White Mountains. Outdoor pool was heated very nicely. Like bath water. Very refreshing when the outdoor temperature was below freezing. They were working on the new addition to the hotel which should hopefully be done soon. Ve
My wife and I came here with our 3 year old and we were very comfortable on our 4 nights stay. The self checking may seem weird to some but honestly, we had no issue with it. The room is clean. Loved the fact we had a small kitchen with actual cook t
We ordered the tom yum noodle soup, chicken rice soup and a stir-fried beef dish. The soups were exceptional, and they were the perfect way to warm up after a chilly day of hiking!
