It is a normal, less crowded beach. Porta potty at the car park, not on the beach. Parking is free, beach costs $8/person for everyone above 12 years old. Flat fee for a day, or an hour if you come before midday. The person who collects the money disappeared after noon and everyone could go in free. Swimming is only allowed in front of the life guard chair. Three life guards were on duty while we were there and you still had to be right in front of them. Not sure whether it is a real rule or they were just lazy.
Nice quiet beach with less crowd.
Quiet, out of the way beach and less crowded. Clean with beach patrol.
One of my favorite spots on all of Seven Mile Island. Free and ample parking at the south tip of town; the beach is not completely secluded - but you will have escaped the throngs of shoobies that gravitate around 96th street. Down here at the Point (Stone Harbor Point) the views are lit, the birds are migrating and skippers are launching their small craft vessels from the beach. The beach even comes complete with an impressive jetty for all your selfie needs!
I did not see any Hobie cats on my most recent visit tho.
Beautiful scenery, people do pictures wedding here. Birds watching. Wildlife. It's a nice place for the whole family to enjoy day out.
Took 4 grandchildren to Hobie cat beach at low tide to show effects of erosion on beach, how sand dunes protect against erosion and to see beautiful sunset
Great learning experience!!!
Stone Harbor has been our family beach for at least 20 years. If you're a TRUE beach lover, it's the perfect beach.

It's a nice place to hike and experience what the jersey shore was like before it was so built up. It's relaxing to sit in the shade and hear the bird's songs. We saw robins, blue Jays, cardinals, and many other birds
