Cleaning a room they only pays 5.00 a room doesn't matter how long u clean room. Pays same ... Pretty sad ...... Gloria

The managers are nice, but firm when they need to be and strict on certain rules (no pets) Its really a decent, quiet place to live with a kitchenette, so even though the price seems high, they are the cheapest I've found weekly that it's more like a little apt. I love living here!!

Some want to put a negative reputation on the Highway Motel... But anyone who wants or needs a clean safe place to stay that wants to feel apart of a community then i highly recommend this place hands down. Don't let what you might of heard stop you from coming, that is only if there happens to be an open room to rent... This place stays full and most stay put here for a lengthy amount of time because they know it's safe and the Owners are understanding to one's needs with on sight management, maintenance along with yard man also here to help out in any way possible. For anyone looking for a reasonable place for any length of time and aren't too picky on appearances you should try out The Hwy Motel. It was clean, quiet and quaint. Every room has a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator but no pool, workout room, or breakfast. For the size of the room and the peaceful community, you should give them a try you will not be disappointed.

Quiet. Very reasonable weekly rates. Mostly clean. But what I was most impressed with is that there are absolutely no roaches whatsoever or bed bugs and in this day and age that is an extremely bold statement. Good job!

Friendly enough, but at $45 a night you might expect at least as nice a facility as the Motel 6 or even the Knights Inn down the street. You would be wrong...the rooms have no carpeting, no microwaves, a tiny little boarded up window, mold infested bathrooms, and several drug dealers on property. If you like shooting heroin I'm sure it's a great place to stay, otherwise...look to more reputable hotels.

This place is infested with bedbugs. Big ones. Roaches are all over the rooms walls. We couldn't stay one minute let alone a night. And on top of it all tbey raised their rates from 250 to 325 no warning. Rude management and terrible help not worth it at all

They do not take a check or a card, only cash, and a room for one night costs more than some more reputable places. Also, the majority of the people seem to be full time residents here; which is almost inconceivable considering my room for the night. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the busted door jam. This door has clearly been kicked in more than once and none of the carpentry has been repaired; the splintered wood had instead been painted over several times. I then noticed how large the room was, which was nice except for the lack of furniture. The room included a table, a bed, a dresser, a tube tv, and a refrigerator. There were no chairs, no nightstand, no alarm clock, no coffee pot, no bathroom door...that's right, I said NO BATHROOM DOOR; the pins were still in the hinges but the door was completely missing. The small bathroom was covered in mold and the shower curtain rod was wedged into place with an old bandana and a half used bar of soap. I went back to the office to get a refund and leave but management never came to the door so I decided I might as well get comfortable. Laying in bed with 2 remotes, one for volume and one for programming, I flipped through all 10 channels twice before realizing there was nothing else on and they didn't subscribe to hbo but everything was fine because I checked in pretty late and needed to be up for work fairly early so I laid the remotes on the floor and rolled over to sleep. HOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNK! AT 4:28 AM, some guy pulled the front of his car next to my window unit AC, laid on his horn, then flashed his lights in the window over and over. He wouldn't stop. I got dressed and walked outside to find the man trying to strategically wedge his car just perfectly enough behind mine so that I would not be able to leave. I found that he was my neighbor for the night and he believed I parked in his parking spot during his absence so he decided he was just going to block everyone in for the morning. We got the issue settled but I spent the next hour and a half writhing in anger over the fact that I could not sleep after such a rude awakening. I also noted that I was the only person who walked outside during the man's tantrum (including management) which led me to the conclusion that such incidences are commonplace in this establishment. I do not recommend this place at all. I will sleep in my car before returning. Oh...almost forgot to tell you they have roaches too.
